Hello all,
I have played the demo for 108 minutes so far (it's a symbolic number) and here are the issues I have found so far:
Heavy issues: - The first time I went into the second screen of the village (with that event), the game gave a black screen, thus a complete freeze. Exiting it would make Steam leave as well.
It also happened while trying to leave the "base camp", back to that section. - That crate in the Minerva galleon would not budge at all. (thanks to RusCSI for the save file!)
- Johannes would not have his dialogue box once talking to him in his lab. I had to skip the dialogue. The second time I tried to talk to him, the same happened. Once again, third's the charm since his dialogue boxes would trigger.
Light issues: - Slow framerate, but again, maybe it is because I played the demo with a potato of a computer...?
- The dialogue lines would sometimes not end correctly, with a little bit spawning after. Found during the (first?) interaction with Gebel.
- Is it Rosary or Rosaly? That quest-giver has a little japanese-based translation issue.
- Trying to break suspended lanterns with the whip brings inconsistent results. I had to try a few times.
Maybe more to follow, who knows?

Just to tell you that I had no problems playing the game with my xBox 360 controller (a general rule for Steam games anyway).

Indeed the same happened to me. I talked to him three times so far.
The initial dialogue didn't trigger, I had to skip it. The second time I met him, I had to skip both messages again since they didn't appear. The third time, it worked.
It is so strangely inconsistent...

it was stated that 'stained will be on CSOTN's difficulty level by default. I remember it differently, that this new IP is so new, with features, that they do not know how easy or hard it really is currently. So it needs balancing. I guess, those ideas that work out good will be saved for the Nightmare Difficulty and amplified. After that, the balance of potions and features will be fixed along with how you should "walk around" in the castle. Some areas might need you to level up greatly, and if you are a warrior, you might try to take the routes which aren't intended in that level of yours, and the potions will be drained. It's interesting. I have never thought of difficulty before, if Koji have same team over and over, it should feel natural, but imagine a new team for Art Play every time. It must be a bit crazy. So much thought behind a game it is insane. Balancing is so tough, you know? It can sometimes ruin a game, for being totally unfair, or on the other hand a walk in the park. You got to cater to everyone if you can by thinking like the players you want to reach... and it's not even guaranteed one will ever achieve it properly. There are games that are so easy that even the highest difficulty is the normal mode. On the other hand, some with easy mode should have been the normal setting, or worse. If a game would be labeled destructively tough (or with easy deaths), I'd rather be warned in advance about it.

Hello people! Today we shall discuss about monster spawning, but not the usual one. It is all about parts of the game where monsters relentlessly arrive, slightly camp around and meet their doom without minding it at all. Grinding. Trudging through a corridor. Being swarmed to death. Rarely getting rare drops that are useless anyway... (cloth tunic, anyone?), low character familiar experience to be gotten, cheap ways to test massive explosion spells, etc. Zombies, mermen... MEDUSA HEADS. Oh, I do have the picture for that. Enjoy! So, what is your take on Bloodstained and infinite spawning? Myself, I was bummed when I saw these Dullahammer heads and their sinusoidal patterns in the 2017 E3 demo (I was one wishing to see Decarabias, like in the concept screenshots). That said, as long as they neither knock characters back into pits/out of platforms* or cheap petrifying, it will be fine. Your replies will be much appreciated! See you in the Discord! Enkeria_gin You say so, but we have some highly-dedicated anime-based shops, even if they cater to the classic series of the 80's and 90's and some ubiquitous franchises, like Fate or Pokémon. Good luck on finding Digimon goodies, for example (my friend from Finland couldn't get any of it). Pika, Pika everywhere~ Some videogames shops also sell goodies, but it's mainly Nintendo stuff, once again, due to some monopoly. 'stained merchandise could be distributed, but it would require much effort.

Just hope for the best. do not forget that the game is far from being done and that we only had access to a few unfinished tracks. It's just a preview to what's to come. And then, it only fully fits when you play the game, so look forward to the next demo for more music experience.
Let's trust the composers and Noisy Croak! I'm sure they will deliver!

I am used to the usual 99 potions and fixed HP healing amount in games. That said, in igavanias, 99 is a LOT. In sum, they should end costly/harder to get and keep. All that matters to me is that I hope potion-spamming will not make the game too easy, or that we will not need to rely on button-mashing to use them.
I just pray for the dev teams to bring us a cohesive whole, so the game will end challenging but engaging enough so healing will be significant, but we will not need to rely on it enough (while not making the game desert-trudging.)
That said, it was stated that 'stained will be on CSOTN's difficulty level by default. This makes me very curious on if other difficulties can be chosen from the start or not and how it will translate in a gaming session.
Still I much believe in them on this.

Hello friend, it's been ages.
Let's see... Quests should give a bit of coinage and items (maybe some weapons/armor that are stronger than anything you can find at that point -before finding that ability to progress further-). I am not certain about experience, though. Maybe a bit to be nice, but it should never bring too much. Repeatables? Please, no. Quest givers? Various NPCs, Johannes, Dominique, Anne and as a plot twist, some vanquished bosses that will not die, maybe some higher-tier unique familiars before they join Miriam.
The quests would be the usual "fetch this", "make that item for me", "reach achievements" and the classic "kill these monsters for us!" and eventually vital ones to progress in the story. Dust: An Elysian Tail did it nicely.
Yes, I'd want quests for the other playable characters. Once again, I felt sad when other chars than the protagonist had nothing beyond the classicvania gameplay in games like CSOTN, PoR and OoE...
How many of them? I don't mind, as long as they're balanced and not chore-like/unrealistic.They should be fun, no matter what.

I'd rather play and finish the prequel before the main game, but that depends on a few factors: - Will the prequel be released at the same time as the main game?
- Can I resist playing the main game that much?
- How engaging the prequel will be?
- How long will it be?

Given that Miriam and co. are going to face demons, maybe on their turf too, some soundtrack denoting danger, horror and despair will definitely be needed. I prefer peaceful tracks, but I am sure it will be on the edge of my seat and appreciate such creepy tracks once I get plunged into such an ambience.

'stained should do the same as one of the Batman games, where Batman couldn't glide if the game was pirated, at some point of the game, making it impossible to progress further. It's hilarious, unannounced yet extremely effective.

We don't need to have everything 3D in 'stained. That said, if it's nicely done, why not? But only if one inspects an item, first seen as a flat model.

This Vepar is so much more fearsome, intimidating, destructive. I am glad that the demon was reworked on... after all, the devs could have said "it's good enough, no need to change it" and a bunch of us wouldn't have minded it.
That said, like Mike said, hiding the old skin behind a code would be great. Heh heh. At worst it will remain canon as a part of the 2016 demo and nothing will remove it.
Anyway, I am glad that change is not some form/result of a wish for censorship.

I am so happy about Miriam being so expressive. I hope we get a pouting expression, if people are allowed to mix outside of recipes, full with the japanese "mou~", upon failing.
