djtanng I believe in some circles the Amiibos were getting some minor attention in this manner, but nothing near the train wreck that is Battlefront 2. The main complaints I've seen regarding the Amiibos tend to go more towards how difficult some have been to find, and scalping related issues. I would be hesitant to get any Amiibo, more for the fact that I've got limited space to put stuff here than anything else.

3: Infinite, or 100, or 1000. none of these 5-10 floor roguelites please. I prefer something that has a definite ending at some point rather than an endless slog, although having infinite rooms could be a good option to have. Being able to choose from a set of dungeon sizes would be nice in general. Having save points would likely be needed for exceptionally large dungeons so that those of us with limited time can enjoy it without having to do a marathon of the game.

I understand where fatihG is coming from on this, although I'm somewhat more torn on the idea. I'd rather have some of the more subtle requests here than directly ripping lines from the Castlevania series. I think my favorite so far is the suggestion from Enkeria of "What a strange thing to put inside a wall!"

Enter the Gungeon. I guess I know what part of my past I'm looking to kill. Either that or I'll become a gunsmith and start crafting new pun guns.

I find the idea of having the seed available so that you can challenge others to play the same generated dungeon appealing. I don't do much co-op, so how that works doesn't interest me personally as much, but having it built in to the roguelike dungeon seems like it would be a good fit.

I'm interested in seeing what they will do with this. It would be interesting if they tied what appears in the roguelike dungeon to what you've discovered/unlocked in the main game.v

The Switch really was a great...move. I think I'm somewhat disappointed. I would have expected something more along the lines of "Switching things up by switching to the Switch was a great switch."

I would have thought they would have moved to the version that supports Switch development sooner rather than later once the Switch support was decided on so that any issues relating to that version can be picked up sooner rather than later in the development cycle. At the same time I could see it being put off for development of the demos shown at the recent trade shows though so that they're working with something they know will work and will not introduce issues in those demos.

Galamoth. Yes, the Gravity Boots were what I was thinking of. I didn't realize you could use them diagonally. Usually by the time I got them I didn't use them much. I don't think I'd seen that advertisement before. I was thinking the spin jumps in Super Metroid.

Busterific Maybe, through exercise in a secret gym area, Miriam will become nimble enough to execute gravity-defying spin jumps like Samus Aran. I was thinking more along the lines of the rocket jump thing that Alucard could do in Symphony of the Night where he shoots up strait in the air. I forget what it's called, but it doesn't actually involve rockets. Having the Samus jump would put an interesting spin on things though.

purifyweirdshard, why is the though of Miriam becoming fat and playing with a chubby version of Miriam coming to mind now. I thought the not getting fat thing would be a given. This is definitely something that will affect game play drastically. 1. Miriam eats too much cake and gets fat, so can't jump as high. 2. Miriam finds the gym and goes through a workout session to slim down so she can jump normal height again. 3. Miriam over does it in the gym and gets completely ripped and is able to jump extra high

I'm not really following Unreal closely. Is there a date for the next Unreal release. How the Unreal release date fits into the development schedule, and what version of Unreal they're currently coding for would likely impact how feasible it would be to incorporate the latest version of Unreal. While typically incorporating minor version updates is intended to include specific corrections that will not have a negative impact on existing work it usually ends up best to retest existing work to ensure that nothing unusual goes wrong when moving between versions. If the Unreal release was announced recently the developers may need to discuss potential problems versus the benefit of using the newer version before coming to a decision to move to it.

That is pretty sweet Galamoth . Now the big question is if the same person, such as yourself Galamoth , gets tagged multiple times in the same post will it be just as fun? Busterific You may try. I'd thought that I had. Definitely not as fun, but that's probably a good thing since if 2 tags in the same post to an individual = 2 notifications then copy / pasting the tag 1,000 times would have ended up being some kind of tag bomb.

See that "Tag" button? Give it a try. Go ahead, I don't mind the alerts! My hope for adding this feature is to make it easier to tag people and prevent all the quote trees. When someone quotes a quote of a quote that quoted a quote instead of just replying or tagging who they are directly talking to you get a quote tree. XombieMike , just out of curiosity, what happens if you both quote and tag someone?

I wonder if the color of the mana bar will change during the game to give an indication of how the curse is affecting Miriam. For example when it's blue Miriam is resisting the curse, while when it changes to purple or another color she's being overtaken by the curse.

I'm really hoping that our "names in the credits" make it on disc. I mean they would have to be right? Any base game needs credits, but the list will be very long and I hope the full version of the credits make it on disc so I can feel good about my name being on every physical copy. Anyone know? I would find it odd if they didn't include that since at this point they've got all the information for it with perhaps the exception of some late slacker backers. While the list of names is long I wouldn't think it would take up an excessive amount of space on disc in relation to the majority of the other game resources.

I need to see Miriam fan art wearing the corgi hat thing. Zangetsu hit her with 4 attacks and killed her at about 3/4 health! I think there needs to be a petition put up somewhere to either have the name Beast Beret renamed to Corgi Hat, or have a separate Corgi Hat that can be equipped. I'm also wondering how close the video was to showing what Miriams equipment / level will be when reaching that Zangetsu fight. It also brings up the thought that there could potentially be a rigged fight based on the plot at some point in the game where it's not possible to win during the initial encounter.

I think that if we take into consideration that it slows down sideways-movement-speed it would have to affect jumping distance unless we were to also reduce gravity in which case it would affect jumping height positively. Naturally, the arc of a jump is shorter if the sideways-momentum is slower. The only way to circumvent this would be, to keep the same sideways-speed while being in the air. This would also circumvent the penalty of the status effect entirely though as you could just jump continuously, rendering the effect mute. Another way may be to enable low-gravity while also reducing jump height. Through stuff like enemies hitting you in mid-air and throwing you further upwards due to lower gravity, this may however introduce unwanted sequence-breaks... In conclusion I think that the way to go would be to just have shorter jumps while having the slow-status-effect. That is, if it actually makes your sideways speed slower and doesn't do something completely different such as slowing down your attack speed for instance. I don't think that has to be true at all. You're going under the assumption that it makes you a slower person, but it could just as easily be a localized slowing of time. You would still go jump the same distance both vertically and horizontally, but it would take longer to get there as you would be moving in slow motion. I think that would be a better implementation of it because it wouldn't affect the platforming portion of the game(beyond making it take longer), but it would make combat and environmental hazards more difficult. I believe that with any gameplay hindrance, it is important not to make it a show stopper. Petrify/Stone is fine because it's a very brief effect that only makes you vulnerable for a moment, but anything that has any duration to it runs the risk of crossing the boundary between adding challenge to gameplay and being detrimental to the game itself. If a debilitation effectively makes me stop playing the game until it wears off, it falls firmly in the latter category, and in a platforming game, limiting movement definitely qualifies as stopping gameplay. This is definitely an instance where I would prefer something more along the lines of video game physics than something that attempts to mimic real world physics. It will be interesting to see if the amount you slow down is tied to your resistance to the effect and how powerful the effect is.
