Got a kick out of Zangetsu as a boss.
Reminds me of the fight with Julius in Aria of Sorrow (and the fight with Richter in SotN, for that matter)

The Halloween 2017 Update is here!Highlights
- Three new songs: A Boss Battle Theme, Johannes' theme and the Courtyard theme
- New video showing off the brand new Courtyard environment as well as a "surprise" boss at the end
The boss is Zangetsu - Photos and reports from Tokyo Game Show and New York Comic Con. Mana's new print is shown off again
- Japanese VA update - Saori Goto will be voicing Gremory and Bloodless
- Fan Art Galore!

that Zangestsu fight looks amazing, but not a fan of additional bosses being shown off, starting to feel spoilery. rest of the update looks amazing and I like how equipping that hat actually shows up on the character (makes me wonder how that pure Miriam costume will work.) my Ideal updates going forward when they want to show off actual gameplay would be to show off the areas that have already been shown off so that we can see all the progress the game is making without being spoiled with new areas, Knowing ahead of time most the kingdoms in Mario Odyssey for example has really dampened how I enjoyed that game I would prefer bloodstained not go down that same path.

I'll reiterate and expand on what I posted on Discord regarding the music
The Executioners: I LOVE the heavy guitar music here, its a great boss theme and having Gothic Metal is a series hallmark I'm glad to see
Theme of Johannes: I find this to be the most unique piece to be honest, its very unsettling and I really like the dissonant noises that layer into the backtrack about 20 seconds in. A really nice piece that sounds very different for a Castlevania-esque track.
Gears of Fortune: Already this one seems to be the favorite and I can certainly see why and agree, its a fantastic song with this sweeping triumphant feeling that still sounds distinctly classic and Gothic in that special Michiru Yamane way.
I really feel like this is going to be one hell of a soundtrack and I'm super happy I backed high enough to get a physical disc to go with my Curse of Darkness and Symphony of the Night soundtracks.
As for the gameplay, everything looks silky smooth and the game just looks so pretty. The Courtyard; aka Garden of Silence (SUCH A GOOD NAME), was really pretty and provides some glimpses of the outdoors which I find VERY important, I'm glad when they show off areas that aren't always indoors. The Zangetsu fight was honestly very surprising to see and it looks great. Its VERY Julius Belmont with that afterimage dodge and the subweapons, and he looks pretty relentless with sparse chances to get attacks in, which gives me hopes that this game will be pretty difficult. Seeing toads was fun too, every time they slip in classic Castlevania monsters with full legality I smile.

What I have learned by watching this update video.- Garden of Silence might be early due to Miriam being level 8, and enemies take little damage.
- The jump is faster upwards.
- Weapon animation speed up (I think) by a few procent. Really matters on weapon however.
- Head piece for Miriam can now be taken off, leaving her with only hair.
- Mini-map top right is still there (from 2nd demo).
- Ether have become blue-purple in hue/tint. (I think) in the top left UI.
- Toads are related to Morte.
- The meny have new textfont (third time).
- The meny have less clutter (no more dots in it).
- Coins have different and new icons.
- Zangetsu's first encounter will try to kill of Miriam. When Miriam defeat him, he will give her a chance. But watching her closely..?
- Areas have been re-colored. (looking at those purple pillars when Miriam encounters Zangetsu.
- Zangetsu have ways to actually get across the castle without any "fly" or "double jump" feature. Would be nice to see a Samurai double jump if he was playable.
- Backdrop seems to be 60fps or more, looking at fire and some other details.

I don't know if the previous videos were messed up by being uploaded to youtube or something but this new video looks alot cleaner and the lighting looks better. Overall love this update the tunes are killer.

I went back and looked at the other gameplay videos and it's the same for some reason I'm just starting to notice it now.
