If only the art could be bigger, it would be possible. Currently, it would not do a 4k justice, unless you take the one I have, and make a thick black boarder around it. D: D: D: ...while that does sound amazing and I'm pretty sure everyone wants that, I also would hate to undercut the assumed poster/larger prints that we were talking about making. Might be fine though? Could alternatively send it out to backers exclusively. I think some of the achievement rewards involved wallpaper-y things after all. But it's yours obviously heh, just trying to look out |

I never thought of releasing the full resolution (artists will never upload the full resolution lol). It's just that the one that was posted publicly was never meant to be that size since it was supposed to be a finished preview shot for you to review the artwork. Good thing I didn't have to change anything after. If the current image is good enough size, we don't have to do anything though  . |

I think I was just controlling response/being overly cautious when I posted what I did haha. But! I do think that for now what we have is fine. If something a bit larger is released, it should be sent out via KS update imo, as A) it's rad and nobody invested should miss it, some of course wouldn't have seen the original yet and B) more promotional exposure. I've noticed that the media likes to report more on our KS updates than what we're doing/saying on social media.
I can see it now...article titles I'm totally fine with that say, "You WON'T BELIEVE this new Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night art! One weird trick to getting excited inside! Demons and corrupt alchemists HATE it!!!!" |

May I suggest a 4K image on YOUR end, to do it justice, and add in actual watermarks. Keep the original guys, things will end up on eBay and shady sites with "original prints" if not done correctly.
And official apologies on my end for cutting and changing the original image for FB and Twitter users Mana .
I would love for you guys to actually make originals instead, but the demand and my "free time" made me go so crazy that I took it without asking. I did mention it to Angel-Corlux , and it won't happen again.
Amazing art should be spread! It should be appreciated as is, I really hate to butcher any kind of art that is not mine, and I dislike to see original pieces end up in wrong hands too.
Just my two cent, thanks for allowing the community to use it in such a flexible way!
Also, I read the discord. I did notice the bat-monster. Would be nice to know it's name, along with the actual piece you've made. The title of this painting?
And would it be too much to ask to include the art in a framed portrait in a exclusive place within the castle? Pretty please?

You are a talented fan making good use of promotional art. Nothing wrong with that from where I'm sitting, but I can't speak for Mana. Everything on these forum themes is chopped from promotional art without much regard for permission. I'd even like to make a new theme based on Mana's art if I get the time.

Speaking of Mana's and Natsume's art... I still remember a certain piece of Natsume's that he created back in 2016. I don't remember what event it was exactly for, but it was right at the Inti-Creates booth.  I thank the stars that IGA didnt choose to go with an overtly anime/moe/waifu art style like this one here. We have more than enough of those out there already, we don't need Bloodstained to follow this tired and clichéd path. |

Enkeria No worries, it's ok you repurposed the art to make your own backgrounds, stuff like that inevitably happens when you don't put official backgrounds out there. Honestly, as long as someone credits Mana as the artist and the Bloodstained logo is on it, I don't see the problem. They're backgrounds after all, we would never try to monetize them or anything.
Mana ah my bad I misunderstood, and was furiously quick typing when I thought you meant releasing the original max resolution versions

Regarding a couple of comments on Miriam's expression, I made her smile based on what I read through IGA's script (of course, my own interpretation). I can't recall which particular interview it was, but IGA referred to Miriam's personality as "most human" out of all the protagonists he has worked on, and "an ordinary girl." She's quite expressive and cheerful at times. Our game director also expressed that he didn't want Miriam to be a "lesser Shanoa" so I decided to stay away from making her look too similar to Shanoa. Natsume-san's version of Miriam is also during the time the story was at its concept stage. I hope I was able to bring his character designs to justice, but I do fully understand those who prefer the original artwork better. I'm so happy to hear she'll have a personality and be very human. I'm sorry I know I'm repeating myself (I didnt see Mana's post until now) but I'd hate to see Miriam reduced to a talking anime waifu cliché with breasts who's personality could've been described with one word/term which is never a good sign of a compelling character (for example: big sister-type, tsundere, childhood friend type, sensei-type, the cold type, etc). @mana I loved your authentic and candid response. Very insightful, indeed! |

Wow. Just wow. This poll, along with all the outpouring of support, love and adoration for Mana and her art has blown me away, although not entirely surprised me. For now, I will lock this poll as I think it has been more than successful in communicating the wishes of some of the most die-hard Igavaniacs out there.
While I can't give everyone definite answers just yet, I can say the following:
- I have heard you, and as a result, so has 505 Games and ArtPlay.
- There will be one more, final update regarding this topic, as to whether or not Mana will be using her artistic talents for marketing assets moving forward.
- Expect that final update very soon.

It's really just a sample of Miriam in Natsume's usual style, rather than the style he actually went with for the Kickstarter campaign art. This wouldn't have been considered at the time because this was made over a year later. But yes, I understand your concern. IGA wanted a "gothic" style, not an overly-cute anime style. |

I'm so sad for missing this poll!
Anyway, I'm also so glad for the results, Mana art style (and competence) are fascinating and very close to Kojima's. I like it so much that I wouldn't care if I should wait another year of development if the game and concepts art were switched to Mana's lead.
