I would say there's a 0.00000001% chance that this game won't have "fast travel". The other games had it, and this game is supposed to be the biggest one yet.

Jan 2016 June 2017 June 2018 Everything seems to be getting worse with time. This post makes it as clear as you can get. This is definitely worrying.

I would be very surprised if this game doesn't end up with a Doppleganger shard.

Good to see more people talking about this, because it would definitely be a nice addition. Even if you could only choose a limited number of your quests (assuming you can accept as many quests as you want) to track, it would be much better than nothing or what we had in Portrait of Ruin and Order of Ecclesia.

I believe this is intended. I know it's a bit weird, but i belive it is intended to not clash graphics between headgear and the mask, to avoid clipping. That makes sense, but what doesn't make sense is that your helmet actually gets unequipped, so you lose the stats from your helmet slot.

I agree but I don’t think it should be entirely muted. Maybe keep the sound effect but only have it go off rarely such as when Miriam lands a critical hit. I don't mind the volume being lowered a bit, or even the frequency of the sounds, but that is going much too far. I only saw a few criticals (which has a nice touch) throughout my playthrough, so it would indeed become rare.

Yeah, it being an accessory rather than a helmet could be the bug, which would be why your current helmet gets removed. Either way, something isn't right.

The best way to do it would be to have an "Exterior" slot in addition to the standard slot. That way you can use the stats from any item you want with the appearance of any item you want.

I suppose this could be intended, since the Stone Mask becomes visible on Miriam, but if so it just doesn't make any sense. Equipping an accessory shouldn't force you to lose your helmet.

For anyone interested in all the ways to get a copy of the game. There is a section called platforms under the fact sheet and, at the time of posting this, is available on PC via steam only and on PS4. bitkidgames.com/presskit/sheet.php?p=chasmComing to PS Vita too. It's going to be cross-buy, so you'll get both versions regardless of which one you actually buy.

Never tried on PS2. Regret I sold my PlayStation 1 sotn as a kid. Biggest regret in my life when it comes to gaming. I did manage to get ahold on that version for PSP. One of few games I play and own on that system. Played it too many times to count. If I ever got an Xbox, sotn would be one game in the collection. This is also why I made sure to get Bloodstained on different platforms. Because the future might give me a chance to own a console. Other than PS vita. I really wished sotn were on PS Vita and ps4 too. Maybe they are!? You can buy the original Symphony of the Night and The Dracula X Chronicles for the Vita. store.playstation.com/en-us/product/UP9000-NPUJ00067_00-0000000000000001store.playstation.com/en-us/product/UP0101-ULUS10277_00-0000CASTLEVANIAX

For whatever the reason, big budget companies don't make games like this very often Back during the PS2 generation, people would often say 2D was dead, and that you'd never see any of these types of games on a home console again. I'm just glad they were wrong, regardless of who is making the games.

ghaleon , Overlord : I hear what you're all saying about the Sony controllers, but everything I've read on the Steam forums and related sites online seems to suggest you need an extra adapter, [sometimes questionable] 3rd-party plug-ins, or need to go through a lengthy workaround in BIOS to get a DualShock to work right on Steam (and even then it supposedly sometimes has connectivity drops for some). Plus, by the time I heard the news here about other options, I had already picked up a cheap XBox 360 controller, which from everything I've read should be plug-and-play without any fuss. (Nice to know that keyboard would probably work, too, but since I doubt IGA and Co. are primarily testing it out with a keyboard, I might as well go all in.) I may regret this, but oh well. I still appreciate all of the information. At the end of the day, I might even grow to like this whole Steam thing. In retrospect I see how it could have come in handy for me, especially with Curse of the Moon. Obviously I've known about Valve's work with it and its popularity for years, as I follow the industry closely, but I am largely a traditional gamer, so I've mostly ignored it in terms of practical usage. I mean, I think the first digital game I bought was Mega Man 9, and rarely do I go in for DLC. I'm certainly no expert, and like you, I don't really play on PC. But I do have one, and when I plug my DualShock 4 in, it just works. This is on Windows 10. If you're set though, then that's what matters.

Specific PS3's could be potential. It's got the game as a PS1 classic, no alterations like 360. If it's an older model or special model then it's backwards compatible with PS1 disks so you are set. All PS3s are backwards compatible with PS1 games. It's PS2 games that only certain models are backwards compatible with.

I've actually never played it on a PS1, since I never had one. I played it quite a lot on my PS2 though, and everything felt right to me. I certainly didn't notice any issues if there were any.

You can just use your DualShock 4's USB cable to plug it in, and it should work fine.

These weren't issues in previous games, so I'd like to think they already plan to make these changes. Just in case they don't though, I'm glad you pointed this out. Also, add me to the list of people that would like loot to remain until picked up. I've actually always wanted that, especially when you leave a room. Sometimes you're moving/farming so fast, you don't realize an enemy has dropped something until a split second before you transitioned to the next room.

It worked really well in Order of Ecclesia, and I'm sure it would be the same for Bloodstained.
