Demo Graphics Downgrade

It looks like they made everything brighter so you notice the color more but there's gotta be a way to increase the color but have that darker look.

I know it's too much to ask... but will someone please get screenshots from the demo to compare. It would take me days to get any myself.

I used Virtual Super Resolution of my RX 480. If you have an AMD card pre-Polaris, I think you're limited to 1440p, at least I was with my old HD 7950. Don't know how it is for nvidia cards though, maybe they have some kind of limit too.

This definitely looks related to your lighting/color issues, a symptom of the same decision or direction this went in. I'm curious too. Wouldn't hurt to put up your screen shots again if you want?

edit: Angel, I think what they're talking about is apparent enough from Dev update 9's video. I had been under the assumption that the Zangetsu fight was in a completely different room, but I think it's the same one with just completely different lighting

For the record, yeah, I believe I prefer myself how it previously looked in both this example and castledan's famous comparisons. The color, darker tones and fog looked great, but the current one looks good too to me. It's probably some kind of in-game consideration for the player to follow the visuals properly, but I really don't know. I'd prefer less bright greys in these certain spots, but there are a nice share of good looking areas.

Imgur is not that good because it applies a rather bad compression algorithm, so I tend to use alternatives.

Granted the design of the room itself has changed now, the colors were amazing.

Miriam herself looked better in these old shots than she currently does. The thing is, I don't know if this still image is her "model" or what they ended up using.

They are not quite the same. My suspicion is that the original model wasn't rigged for mouth movement, for one thing.

Please do. Get the underside of the bridge where the perspective rotates and the zanguetsu battle arena. We have old Gematsu videos of those to compare.

How can you look at those gold pillars and say they're not downgraded?
