Perhaps some differences amoung the innards of the damned might help. Shards flying off for the demons, goop for mortes, etc. Maybe some particular elemental effects on a elemental weapon's hit, like arcing electricity when a ligtning weapon hits(the standard cut and slash having their own effect too). Also, fliching need not be all from the players' advantage, have some enemies attempt to counter Miriam depending on how or what they are hit with instead of flinching uselessly.

Three Ideas Bloodstained probably dropped:
1. The moon on the status bar getting bloody as Miriam's hp drops.
2. Twists and turns, unnaturally shaped rooms(seriously, the majority of rooms , at least those with a chest, are squarey and big, creating an empty feeling in some circumstances with the lack of foes. Hopefully there be stuff similar to the winding tunnels of the underground cavern or catacombs.)
3. I'm wondering how boss revenge will work...simply controlling it will be a challenge, no? And how to make it interesting with what I assume will be a cpu controlled player character? unless it isn't cpu controlled...

If morte gets some of the one hit wonders out of the way for some more interesting enemies, then I’m all for it. By stepping away from classic horror villains and using alchemical creations, Bloodstained starts to com into its own. Who knows, morte might not even be the only monster used in this manner! Perhaps a decarabias or similar attached to some floating swords? Or a buer on a trail of fire?

I think what happened is that there is no crafting system, but it is still possible that certain quests require a key drop from enemies to collect when activated.
I certainly hope customization is still a thing. For the most part I heard there was a general assurance that everything that is promised is slated to be in the game.

Perhaps they will take another aspect of the roguelike where Miriam is subject to the rng as to when and if she gets certain abilities and weapons, or maybe certain items are "unidentified" until taken or thrown...

Colours too faded? This might interest youSince some people including me have had some issues with the colours or lack thereof in the garden section that was shown, I decided to take a screenshot and do a quick mockup of how some different / brighter colours could bring the scene to life. I might have gone a little overboard to illustrate the weight of the effect but I actually kind of like the lush look of the vegetation in the edit... What do you guys think? I'm kinda wondering if the color discussions we are having now might have something to do with the shaders that we voted for earlier.... I knew I picked the right one...

In this latest showcase, you can see her standard headgear finally being in the inventory. This means, you should be able to pick "nothing" and end up with only hair. Something that we could not in E3 Demo 2016, but maybe E3 demo 2017?! Yeah not really what I meant... I already know you can change the looks of Miriam if she takes off certain pieces of armor... What I wanted was the stats of the headgear without the looks of the headgear... OH! wouldn't it be cool if you can choose how your headgear, or any gear that changes Miram's look, can change by just assigning it adding a piece of armor to a "glamor" slot? lol if they haven't done this yet I doubt they will add it though... but it was just a random thought... interesting, I kinda wonder about that too, we haven' seen the customize option just yet, and what with the various accessorizing, lumping it with the same slots as equipment wouldn't be how id do it.

I probably would give it its own section instead of needing it for 100% item completion. also, have it attainable from boss rush if possible.
Boss rush! That would actually be even better, since you set getting them aside for skill alone instead of overleveling!

1) Miriam is at LV 8 at Garden of Silence's video. Do you believe that is just for testing purposes, or this area will be one of the first areas of the game? Considering Bloodstained areas, we already know: Galleon Minerva, Church of Dian Cecht, The Village (no official name yet) and now, Garden of Silence. Do you believe all these areas will show up in a particular order?
I think this is one of the first areas of the game, at least before you are in thr castle proper. Galleon,Village,Church, Entrance, Garden, Castle.
2) What type of Shard (Trigger, Effective, Directional, Enchant, Familiar or Skill) do you believe Barbatos will give and how it would be? Or maybe Barbatos is like Morte and doesn't give any Shard?

Its open enough that I don't think it is set in the castle proper, but rather is just before its true entrance.
7) Gears of Fortune is not Garden of Silence's song, as kickstarter's page already warned us "The place you'll hear this song in Bloodstained hasn't yet been announced", but "The Executioners" (Bloodless Battle's song from E3 2017 Demo) is also the music used for Zangetsu's battle at this update. Do you believe that this will really be Zangetsu's Boss song? Or is just a placeholder?
Placeholder, but perhaps it could be both, the generic one for his first encounter and his own theme for the tougher, 2nd fight.
The player won't see it coming.
8) What kind of area or areas, do you think, or would you like to see connected to Garden of Silence? The Castle's entrance? Maybe a flooded cavern? Some kind of inner forest?
This looks like an area before the castle entrance, though if it were the courtyard, i'd say it be like the marble gallery, not the largest area, but damn if you don't run into it over and over again...
9) Comment anything else you would like to say about Garden of Silence, if you want.
I think this is where the dev teams decision with the backgrounds and their slight variations will reach a "make it or break it" point and determine whether people call it a masterpiece or a fan game with lots of money(no offense whatsoever, please don't take this the wrong way). I can see that some parts mesh better than others in the garden. Done wrong, it can end up looking like a puzzle piece set that doesn't look right(my first thought of this was at the platforming section that miriam skips on her way to barbatos). If the seams of those background blocks can be cleared up and the color looked at(like other viewers), I think it can go a long way.
