Amazing but still not. Don´t like the shader. Makes it look like a cheap MMO to me :/ Hope I will grow to like it later cause I don't really have any options now EDIT: Yup ... that went fast. The shader grew on me after looking at it for 30 minutes and it looks fantastic. Still a bit too far off the background.

I said it in the KS page but here goes: I'm among the minority that does not prefer shader 3 (I say that in a negative way because saying I prefer shader 1 puts emphasis on me liking it more, but I just kinda barely prefer 1).
So I'm not upset with the results, and frankly, any active user/lurker on these boards knew what the results were gonna be, it was really a landslide on the forums.
I completely agree though that shader 3 makes her hair look kinda funky. I hope they touch it up just for her hair at least, I don't know how you'd do that but... y'know.

I agree with Mike and it's cool to see it's not just a tattoo ! Amazing modelization on 3D Miriam. I like it a lot, charismatic, feminine and noble aesthetic, yet adventurous. Like it has been said in the update, it will help cosplayers and we should see more soon !
Also the art for the magazine is gorgeous, it's a good thing we can see it at last ! About the donuts campaign, I must say good job to the community ! I've never seen players be so close to the devlopment team and it's pleasant to see.
Well, thanks for the update ! I always feel excited when checking my mails and see something related to Bloodstained.

I voted Background 1/ Character 1 so I'm not really happy with the results being the polar opposite. I guess this game is going to be a bright cartoon strolling around a gothic setting?

So by and large, I'm happy with the way things turned out. The issue with the thick lines isn't quite as glaring when the character model is moving, and I'm confident that it will be even less noticeable when Miriam is actually in motion. By the same token, I've seen some people mentioning the look of her hair, but I think that too will be settled by animation unless her hair ends up being entirely static, which would be surprising.
That said, I really can't wait to see her in action.

If you want just some very simple movements you could do that fairly quickly, but only if you aren't planning on doing more or have no problem completely redoing it for the actual intended result. Then the issue arises, do you show them something they won't appreciate? I'm sure the devs are not planning on wasting time, neither theirs nor ours.

The first real development update near the end of the Kickstarter campaign had a moving Miriam. Granted, that model was probably primitive and slapped together but there was actual movement. If you look at the screenshots provided for the shader vote, some of the shots looked like Miriam was in mid motion. While we certainly aren't entitled to seeing something like proto-gameplay and those shots may have been staged rather than mid-motion, I feel there is enough to suggest they have Miriam up and moving about at this point in time even if all her animations aren't finished. I think the only reason this comes up as a topic is because this update was a bit anemic. It's been six weeks since the last update and that one was "packed"/"influential". This felt more of a "by the way" type of update. I appreciated it of course but I'd be lying if I said I was "satisfied".

What's that i see there behind IGA. Some sorta image about the game?! You get the best photo of IGA that you will ever see, probably, and you have the time to look at what's behind him? Impressive. Seriously though, that donut face cures cancer. Oh and THERE BETTER BE A DONUT FOOD ITEM IN THE GAME.

Was more for Char 1/Back 3, but as I said in shoutbox, I think it'll grow on me. As for the donuts....I do rather like that idea of finding hidden donuts for a secret boss, but what about a donut attack, too? Kinda like the curry one from Soma's adventures.
Edit: Oh and just thought of it. Since everyone likes some silly stuff every now and again.....why not make a new Shovel Knight themed enemy? Donut Knight- Captain of the Glazed Division. Fears include sprinkles, rain and cats. He is the highest ranked member of Her Majesty Eclair's royal court and has traveled to this land in hopes to find the cure for a curse that threatens his homeland. What's the curse? Let's just say that General Baguette is a devious man....

I had no idea the curse flower on her back was supposed to look 3D- ish and not flat ... This certainly blew me away. Glowing 3d protruding curse rose....YAY!! :-D

So far so good. I mean this is only the first 4 months and we still have a long way to go before we get the final product. Fingers crossed for smooth animation.
Atmosphere (graphics) > gameplay > post-game > chracters > story.
So far atmosphere is in good shape. Now the next big thing is gameplay and animation.
