I very much did notice that she's more well endowed. Compare this new artwork to her initial design: i like it either way, and different art showed different levels of bustiness, and yeah, gaijin goomba says it pretty well in multiple videos it could also serve to pull her mantle further away from her torso and give it more sway, or allow them to show off the curse easier with its current placement without having to turn her body as far as you would need to if she was less busty or the curse was up near her clavicle like it is in the illustration,youd need maybe a 60-75 degree turn toward the screen to see the curse when shes idling right in the illustration, where you could probably accomplish that with a 30-45 degree turn with the current model, or it could be to help distinguish her more from shanoa in silhouette, idk

If a surfer asked me "sup, bra?", I'd tell them I think Miriam's large breast size is a little bit ridiculous right now. Her new look... is not exactly my cup of tea, but I don't think it's a big issue worth fussing over.
However, I'm willing to provide support for whatever IGA has planned. I just hope Bloodstained handles Miriam's body in a mature manner in order to nip all arguments in the bud. Will it be a tragedy if she got the Castlevania: Judgement treatment with unnecessary focus on her breasts? Of course it will.
Strap in everyone, it's going to be a wild ride.

I liked her with the smaller breasts she had in concept art. It just seemed a bit more natural for her, and it was a nice change to have a female character who wasn't super busty. Not that I hate large boobs, I just like diversity as well, and diversity is definitely one area that video games need to improve in, especially when it comes to the female form.
Oh well, that's not a large complaint, TBH - to me it's more important that she is a good character. So long as she doesn't become overtly sexualized just 'cuz, I'm okay with it. T&A shots for the sake of T&A shots, though, would definitely cheapen her as a character (I like to call this Miranda Lawson's Ass-Effect).

A point worth considering (I can't recall if it was discussed here or elsewhere but I figure I might as well bring it up in this topic) is that this arrangement (curse mark position, size, etc.) does a lot to maximize the actual visibility of the curse mark - a major part of her character design and the narrative. Considering you'll spend most of the game looking at Miriam from afar and in profile view, I think this makes a lot of sense. Otherwise you have to weirdly angle her model (which I can imagine would get awkward during movement or jumping or whatever) to really see it. Actually kind of smart from a design perspective.

I didn't really want to chime in on this because to me this is a non-issue. From the picture though I think it's mostly angle, and cropping. Imagine her full height, the top of her head being cut off, the width of the top of her hips (we can't even see the total width), thickness of her arms, width of abdomen, and the length of her legs. She is actually pretty well proportioned. As for them being too big. . . Well my wife would disagree. They seem average. What I would be more concerned about is the lack of a teardrop shape, but it is immediately explained by what she is wearing anyway. Enter the Bustier! (Basically medieval push up bra) And as mentioned above, plenty of the concept art has her bustier than what some people seem to think. But this is just one opinion.

I think you solved the mystery of Miriam's Ridley-sized boobs and why they looked strange to a lot of people. IGA should be wary of some people that don't even play the games but love to have a opinion against everything they don't approve like some "Journalists" that I will not mention and other very well organized people of high status and power with connections that loves to speak for all of us. I hope that all the voices here keep being from genuine gamers. (Many know what I'm talking about but don't want to talk more about it here. I just wanted to transmit the message.)
Anyway by the art I can guess that her personality will be pacific and that she will have a calmly way to rationally approach a situation. This is what I perceive from Miriam and this haven't changed at all with the artwork. Also I don't see much difference between her old and new form. It's just the shaders enhancement he skin and makes her figure more noticeable.

Still, really don't know why people are complaining about them... I mean, they ARE good, right? The concept art is a "concept" serves as a guide to the outlook of character, and more importantly, it's in 2D. We're talking about a fully designed 3D model now, and there are many parameters the designer could adjust with, as long as it looks good, I won't complain.

I haven't seen anyone that seems upset over it, usually curious at most considering that they could have had her look like this at the start. Kinda makes me laugh as usually this is done in a very small way but the change was pretty significant. We also have to take into account that we aren't seeing much of the game yet (no background this time even) so we are going to focus on what little there is and talk about it, that is why most of us are here. I haven't seen anyone saying they should revert but if they did they are entitled to their opinion. When we start seeing Zangetsu's model I am sure we will get threads like these if it looks different than the concept art or if his model changes over time so it definitely isn't a gender conflict.

At this point I think she was busty in more art than not. I wouldn't go that far. I think the confusion over the bust size has to do with the inconsistency and the fact that the vast majority of Miriam's concept art with her in the ingame outfit has a much smaller bust size. It doesn't really matter (unless they focus on it) but I am sure this is why people are taking notice.

That's like saying Spartan Palmer in Halo: Spartan Strike should have a gigantic chest just so we can make sure she's a woman - that's not true, and it doesn't stand up to scrutiny. She doesn't need large (for her body type) breasts - it was simply an artistic choice by the development team.

It's also worth noting that she was just as busty in the shader 1/2 pics. I think no one noticed because the shading kind of flattened them a bit, and because the perspective is different.

I mean, even in real life, depending on the angle of the shot, the clothing worn, etc. the same woman can look to have different bust sizes even if obviously it remains constant. Plus none of the concept art is in the exact same pose or as close up as any of the shader screenshots. Given the precedence set by the spectrum of the concept art (rather than any one piece); the model needs as discussed in the last page (visibility for a model you often see from afar) and the narrative that "Big is inherently BAD" that I find to be problematic and thus I'm opposed to, I think what we have for the current model is good. People are free to disagree of course but that's how I see it and I hope the robustness of the "Customize" system can alleviate the concerns they are free to have.
