Calling him out for having a crappy attitude and saying he is throwing a fit could be considered personal insults and thus a violation of the rules. His post could be taken as a general indirect insult to unnamed people, which isn't really breaking any written rule. This kind of stuff is hard for me to moderate. Just going to say that the "it's okay to insult people as long as you aren't direct about it" kind of policy is what leads to passive aggressive semi-hostile communities like The Escapist. I much prefer the rule of Wheaton's Law. Like I said, this kind of stuff is hard for me to moderate. There is no written rule against generally and indirectly insulting people, but that doesn't mean it won't be moderated. I don't want to hand out warnings just because I think someone is acting like a dick. I don't mind stepping in and putting a combo breaker when I see things start getting overly negative though. I wish everyone could abide by Wheaton's Law. Me saying the bit about how I think he just likes this kind of attention could be viewed as a direct insult... Defending people who are acting like dicks from people calling them out for it and trying not to be a dick myself is one of the odd aspects of moderation I find myself doing. SOTN4EVA is infamous for their reputation on the Kicstarter comments section, but if he can follow the rules of the forum and get along well with the community he is welcome here as a backer. We are a bit off topic now, but if any topic deserves some exploration on moderation and respecting each other, it's this one. I'm totally open to suggestions about how to handle our fellow backer's when they say something that ruffles feathers, but please let's have those conversations in a private message so this thread can one day rest in peace. |

Lol at people saying they want realism in this game and Mariam's boobs aren't realistic. First of all, her boobs are fine. There are real life women with boobs that big. And yes they can run and jump, especially when they have the muscle support Mariam has. Also, you want realism in a game about curses and demons set in a fantasy world? If anything, Mariam's boobs are more realistic than most of the things going on in this game. It's a videogame.

This thread. Maybe Mariam's boobs are bigger because of her crystals. It is possible, but you don't see many super athletic women with GIANT boobs. I know two women who are extremely fit (one is dancer, the other is ice skater that teaches and played hockey), both had ridiculously huge boobs. One had a breast reduction because it killed her back and the other has been contemplating it for many years because of back pain as well. Maybe Mariam's boobs have anti gravity due to the crystal (meth) she is ingesting. Maybe she removed her nipples cause she would have the weirdest nipple placement on earth unless she has super saggy boobs and they are just rolled up like pasty dough or a sushi roll and you can only see the top fold. I suppose they could be microscopic and actually showing. I still think the gratuitous change was purely cosmetic to show off the flower more, not just "ARG GIVE HER THE BIGGEST BOOBS." Now how do you appeal and how big of a sect of the audience actually cares about the size, skin? I am more worried about where the hell her nipples are and will consider it canon that she has the saggiest pair of soft serve cones that are rolled up like a sleeping bag. At least until an official word of origin and epic saga of the fabled Mariam boob job. I have a feeling that most of what you just said is going to end up in an episode of Game Theory after Bloodstained comes out. |

The 360 fly around shows that crystal on her back is pretty big. The boobs just balance her out. She's definitely a side sleeper (for 10 years anyway).

I'm going to pop in for a second to say that I think arguing from a vantage point of "realism" ("thing X is bad because it isn't realistic") about any videogame that doesn't seek to be historically accurate or realistic to begin with is problematic. It's stifling to creativity and expression - videogames regularly embrace the unrealistic and are often more fun and allow crazier designs for that reason. The argument should be does this element significantly break one's suspension of disbelief? Is this element strongly at odds with the tone of the game? Is this element contrary to the characterization of a specific character? Those are the questions that should be asked. If an element does break suspension of disbelief in a significant way then I think this sort of argument is a valid way to bring up the concern. I sincerely believe that there is no suspension of disbelief broken with regards to Miriam's design elements for what we know and expect about Bloodstained. So that argument falls very short to me.

Crystal backs are completely unfair and unrealistic. I can't have a crystal back and looking at one makes me uncomfortable.  However, as far as the boobs are concerned, I think I have figured out what's really going on and also the secret behind the pointed out discrepancy between the concept art and the more developed Miriam that we see in these updates: the "staggered content"(!!!) is actually comprised of gradual boosts to her cup size. We may want to have a poll so as to decide how people will fairly get small boobs Miriam at launch or hold out until full boobs Miriam is completed. Feel free to screen shot this and send it to Kotaku, I have boobs deliberation to do thanks |

I'll get a hat that looks fancy but ends up being tacky when I actually wear it, develop an incredibly smug attitude, and make hour-long videos complaining about complainers while tying everything into a conspiracy theory. Still, I have a feeling this whole situation is out of our hands. Nothing's going to stop IGA from making Miriam's left and right boobs the 2nd and 3rd playable characters in Bloodstained now that he's gone Indie. |

According to the references in the article, it's probable that the majority of male members in this forum are independent but poor and starving sexists who long for fatherhood.
