I like her new ribbons. I know its to set her apart from the background, but it makes her look more Jojo's Bizarre Adventure with her pose... ...Which is exactly what this series needed. I wonder what you mean by that... She might be referring to Joseph Joestar's signature scarf (from Jojo's Bizarre Adventure Part II - Battle Tendency) or Lisa Lisa's signature scarf (also from Part II) Source

^So I am now wondering if Scarves will be the equivalent of Capes as equipment for Miriam. (Whereas they were just "Accessory" items in past Castlevania games) Though what Miriam has on her shoulder may be something quite different.

I don't like scarves or capes personally. I like those oversized back ribbons you see on maids though, and surprisingly enough, I do NOT like maid costumes =P

So now that we've gotten a good look at Miriam's 3D model, its interesting to see that there is a scarf/ribbon on each of her shoulders. It's a little "intricate" (and thus I would expect to be a bit hard for cosplayers) but it does the job of adding flow to Miriam's outfit without obscuring her back. Thinking about it, I do wonder if say a bow with tassels was ever considered for Miriam? Like on the back of her outfit right below her back. Like something similar to the below but with a much larger bow & tassels: I'm just curious, Mana were the shoulder ribbons the first thing you guys tried that stuck? Where there other outfit permutations that you tired (like perhaps this bow & tassels combo) and if so what were they? Why did the twin shoulder ribbons win? Did you need them to be X long to work and if they were lower they would drag on the ground? Again, I'm just curious is all.

I'm also curious if these ribbons are something you can find in the game that look different like the capes. Also, would that mean that you can find different ribbons or all sorts of flowing cloth types? I guess I'm just curious how far is the customization of how she looks will go in the game. What items will change appearance and what won't? and how many types are we talking about. I do really like the ribbons though I must say.

Funny thing is, no one at ArtPlay knew about the extra shoulder clothing until I pointed it out to them. No one seemed to be bothered by it so they made room for Inti Creates to make changes in her design. Unfortunately, I don't know the process behind the shoulder ribbon design. Although the shoulder clothing can't be taken off, the ribbons are detachable.

I can only wonder how those ribbons would affect gameplay? (If not directly affecting stats, or other fun things) I'm sure it's too early for you to answer that question.

Getting confirmation that they're indeed detachable made me think right away that there could be different ribbons and such that look different and have other effects. However, like you said it's too early to get confirmation on stuff like that and I don't wanna get my hopes up lol

Ok thanks for the answer In regards to that FF7-related image, the "loss of manhood" factor would humorously apply to Zangetsu if he could equip ribbons too. :3 It would certainly be cool if some ribbons could allow for resistance against Poisoning, Petrification, or being Cursed. (or other status-ailments that may be in Bloodstained)

Maybe for Zangetsu (or whatever male character that may be playable), you could go with a bowtie or even a regular tie. Or an actual scarf. All of those should have been avaliable during the timeframe of this game

All of those should have been avaliable during the timeframe of this game I think it'd be fun if Bloodstained went with a bowtie, but it looked the exact same as the ribbon. "I'm just going to call the ribbon a bowtie, Miriam. It's practical. Not exactly masculine, but it looks similar enough to a real one to the point where I can get away with wearing around my neck. Nobody needs to know what it really is." "There's no reason to worry. I'm already keeping your secret about the "pectoral support harness" you asked about." "NOBODY needs to KNOW!" *flips a table*
