Yeah I thought that was weird even though they do say at the briefing that he is a dual sword wielding character.

He looks cool. I approve

Yes, he looks cool. And apparently he has a thing for stickers. Stickers are cool.

Edit: In before someone says, 'they're not stickers, they're ofuda, neeeeeeerrrrr...'. No, they're stickers. Because I said so. Now shut up.

My only disappointment with this character is that he uses the primary color Red.  Given that Miriam uses Blue and Gebel uses Red, I was hoping/expecting other major characters in this game to use other primary colors (Green, Yellow, etc.) for the sake of aesthetic diversity.

I do wonder
A) They say he shows up to fight the demons 10 years before Bloodstained starts. Is this character related/going to show up in that prequel mini-game?

B) That Bionic Arm of his, does is do anything special? Grappling Hook? Shoot bullets?

Also, are "ofuda" those like sticky notes with characters on them that monks in Japanese media often use to attack demons? Like those stickers on his arms? I'm familiar with that concept but I've never hear that specific term before.

Well the 3rd official character probably isn't Gebel (since he'll be playable anyway in the Boss Revenge mode). It may be Johannes, but nothing is confirmed yet! (ironically, the 3rd character was confirmed before whoever the 2nd one was haha)

I'd assume so! This guy seems like he knows exactly what to use against demons, and is experienced with hunting them as well. Since he's a confirmed Demon Hunter, I wonder if it is a personal choice, bloodline related, or an actual faction of this world. 

So many possibilities with that arm! I am excited to see more hints about this guy.

EDIT: Just wanted to add, he reminds me a lot of Yoshimitsu/Gutts

Interesting, that black symbol on the stickers/ofuda does not appear to be in English or Japanese. Is it a mix of the symbols that are around Miriam's ward? Or something else?

'Fuda' is a generic word for a ticket, a card, or a charm/talisman. And although the 'o' is the polite prefix, in general 'ofuda' refers to the type of talisman/ticket used at shinto shrines (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ofuda).
