Again, Coach Man and Mysterious Man would be treated as bosses in Boss Revenge mode.

Let's gather what we know so far, only for Angel-Corlux to mock us again: WHAT DO WE KNOW:1) The game definitely will have a 3rd playable character. 2) They said we are "nowhere near" to guess who it is. 3) The poll has playable characters, but they are not the 3rd playable character. 4) At June 18, another character will be revealed but they are not the 3rd playable character either. When asked if we will have four playable character, the answer was "well / perhaps". It is also not two characters with the same move sets and different skins, and it isn't related to Boss Revenge either. That gives us the following information: FIRST ) We need to consider the possibility that everyone in the poll is wrong. SECOND ) The June 18 reveal is NOT a Boss Revenge character, NOR a 3rd playable character. Considering all that, we have two things to think: THE THIRD PLAYABLE CHARACTER WIL BE:A) Someone from the poll, but with low votes. B) Someone not revealed yet, but most probably teased at some point. C) A duo (that may have been revealed or not) wich would make all guessing meaningless, since no one considered that possibilty. THE JUNE 18 REVEAL CHARACTER IS RELATED TO / WILL BE:A) Something related to a game mode we don't know yet (such as VS mode, Online Challenge Mode, the mysterious Chaos Mode, etc) B) Some kind of guest / DLC of sorts that can be used on the main game (that would make they not technically a third playable character, since the third one is free) That is what i can think of. |

Consider this - Question said:

...in regards to the "3rd playable character". SK could very well be this "4th" that Angel is talking about who isn't quite playable to the degree that #3 is.
The "duo" thing is something that I've considered in the possible Julius Mode situation, or how in PoR the other playable character modes were duos. That would be great. Here's another possibility -
Zangetsu's mode itself includes a Dominique switch. They are of course both exorcists and familiar with each other in the story. This makes Domi #4 and the #3 is someone we haven't been exposed to yet.
There's also some kind of collaboration lurking in the distance most likely (from Angel's talk in the discord, signing a deal with an external party, something he's been working on for a long time etc), but we don't know if or how that might relate to playable characters.

I think she'd make a great efreet and would dance to perform her attacks; these would take some time to complete encouraging the player to quickly finish her off, else she would complete her dance and the effect would be devastating. With Wayforward on the team, it just seems like a waste not to use her in some capacity.  |

I'd want her shard to be either a fire djinn familiar or a transforming into a fire djinn yourself. |

As for her shard she could either be a (half) genie familiar or perhaps act as a gag outfit for Miriam - it would be funny to use her monkey form to climb walls or her elephant form to ram or crush things. She would be easy to include in an Iga-Vania game since the first three Shantae games took their inspiration from Metroid and Castlevania.
Like I said: Wayforward is part of the development team. It would be downright criminal to not include in some role or another.

OwloftheNight98 Time 4 Tea Hmm... Maybe Bloodstained's developers (WayForward included) could be persuaded to include Shantae, or something related to her, in a future DLC for the game... If enough people request it, perhaps.
