Ever since Bloodless was introduced, I never had the impression that she was anything other than a Vampire, due in no small part to all that blood she has control over. Despite possessing a Demon Shard, I don't believe she's a demon herself ( besides; if you used the logic of "because they have a Shard, they must be a demon"... then Miriam would be a demon too). And unless the "Mysterious Man" is also revealed to be a vampire (or "Alucard", as some theorize), Bloodless may be the only vampire character in the entire game. Your post made me think of the librarian in SOTN and his "catalogue" of enemies; I wonder if such a thing will exist in Ritual of the Night? Perhaps Dominique or Johannes (or even Alfred!) would provide this list complete with the enemy type (animal/demon/undead/etc) as well as HP, MP and common and rare drops.
Also I wonder if Iga's long standing rule is still in place that forces a boss' programmer to beat it perfectly before he gives it final approval to appear in the game.

Now if she does turn out to be a vampire they need to change the lighting in her room from daylight to night time... unless she's one of those vampires that have overcome their weakness to sunlight:

"what is the most important thing in Bloodstained?" "Hair-movement"? That's a joke-answer. It's a nice touch but not important. I was pretty sure Miriam was covered with shards and those comes in different sizes, even particles should be able to spread, and even in hair. Making it hardened. Anyway, the most important thing in this game, what I think, is to have a fun time playing it. A huge bonus if there is replay value. I am sorry I don't see the hype like most of you guys do with things like hair-movement being that important. I just don't get it. Overall a nice update. More hyped about the revisited comparison between footage, but I know textures and lights are things you fix later on. Been saying it for some time now, finally those impatient people can see a bit of his vision more clearly this time. Sorry for rant, I just value the project differently and it makes me feel "out of place" among you guys. I mean no disrespect but this is a strange take to me. You think all of these fixes were gonna happen regardless if we were just patient? is that why they brought on a whole new team with Wayforward? Is that why they pushed the release date back from 2018 to 2019 due to a desire to address all the beta feedback ( which was mainly visual )? I think it's odd to claim these visual fixes were gonna happen automatically if people never said a thing. I just don't find that to be true at all. I think this project would be very very different had people been accepting of the visuals a longgggg time ago. I think obviously improvements would be made but to the extent that they're doing? No. As far as Hair movement, it was never a major criticism but it was something people brought up that would bring some more life to the character, and it has. You mention fun factor and replayability being the most important elements. What's there to improve in that realm? It's an IGAVANIA game at it's most basic level it'll be a fun game with replayability, they've always been that. The visuals were the main problem across the internet not the fun factor, and certainly not the replayability. So of course addressing the main flaw your game has will excite people more than confirming an element they already know is good from when they played it.

Time 4 Tea I'm sure IGA is following his old method regarding bosses. It seems easier to balance things out. Galamoth We have to remember that vampires CAN be demons too. Bloodstained didn't went deep on that yet, but we need to see things in a "meta" scale for now. Castlevania games had angels and holy creatures and basically all monsters were part of the supernatural or Dracula's experiments. On Bloodstained, the castle itself comes from hell and all creatures has been labeled as demons, so far. We can speculate that EVERYTHING supernatural can be a "demon" of sorts. What i'm trying to say is that Bloodless can be both a vampire and a demon, where being a "vampire" is just a type of demon. Undead could be another type of demon and so on. Zangetsu considers shardbinders to be demons themselves due to pure hatred he feels for them. Gremory seems to be a high-ranking demon herself and maybe some of the Goetia demons have a higher level of influence. We know very little of Bloodstained "universe" so far, but i think we can speculate that people (maybe alchemists themselves) simply refers to anything non-human, such as monsters, shardbinders, vampires and anything else, generically as "demons". Considering Bloodstained is a new franchise, the possibilities are endless. Maybe earth had some supernatural beings (such as vampires, undead, alchemists, mages) since ever but they were always hidden (Masquerade style)? Maybe just now the common folk are really having huge contact with such beings and the commoners considers everything as demons... Such organizations of what is a demon, what is a vampire and so on, would be something to just show up in later games of the franchise (if it exist) when researchers / heroes / plot / lore starts to really stablish what is REALLY going on. Just like the whole lore of "Dark Lord" in Castlevania just showed up much later, in the later years of the 20th century. If we take the few hints Bloodstained showed up to now, we can see that the characters themselves are a bit lost on what is really happening. Gebel seems to be aware and calls monsters as demons. Johannes says that the Liber Logaeth is a book for the "summoning of spirits". He doesn't say demons, but spirits. Dominique has powers and is a exorcist of the church. The church is BUYING SHARDS, that are demon power crystalized, to purify them. Zangetsu seems to be a killing machine wreacking havoc on anything supernatural, even shardbinders that aren't demons (or they are?) Each being is trying to figure out what is happening on their own accord. To me, it feels like no one (that includes Gebel) has a clue of the bigger picture. ALSO, considering IGA himself said that one of the themes of this game, the stained glass, was actually crafted when he decided to, instead of using completely supernatural beings (such as vampires), to use "engineered humans". That goes to a whole lot new level of discussion, known as " What Measure Is a Non-Human?" I know this went far off from the original question of Bloodless being a vampire, but i suddenly had those thoughts and wanted to share too. I don't know if i made myself clear lol

Yeah I think they asked "what is her motivation? Who is she?" And to keep it simple they might have said "Think of her ... like a vampire or a demon". To me, she is another demon, among the others. Even though it might not fit, one could argue every enemy in this game doesn't fit one way or the other. Those BunnyGirls jumping around in Curse of the Moon looks nothing likes a Succubus, but all the hearts and such makes you think of an Succubus. So make that them Succubus? Hmm. A wolf walking on two legs. Is it a Werewolf? A Lycan? Or a demonic 2-legged dog? For games sake, I hope there are NO reference to anything about these creatures, so we, the players can have, what you wrote, our own head canon. I think the game would benifit from it. But the theme is clear: Hell. I say demons to all of them. And really without any genders. Might start calling "it" to everyone and not "she" or "he".

If that's how you feel you'd probably be best served not to spend too much time with the game's Bestiary. While I don't expect it to contain current year gender pronouns I would expect at least a reference to demon type classification.

hyugakojiroBut the "genders" is different in Hell. Closest thing you could get is saying he or she, but most of them are confusing. Example: Vepar. Its a male. People say its a she. And I always think "third-wall", so I say its pixels. Bestiary would be nice. 3D models to turn while reading, or unlocking lore the more of the same kind of enemies you slay.

roguedragon05 I really love the SNES/SFC aesthetic, so a Chrono Trigger playthrough this year is a must Though I also do plan on playing Chrono Cross sooner now that you have talked about it And until I play them both I'll get why people are really wanting Chrono Break

CastleDan No worries mah dude. I think WayForward came in to help out with the polish. They got the stuff, than most likely got a question "Would you do this differently, and if yes, how?" And if those changes was "within good timeframe" I believe Artplay would give the approval if they felt it would benefit the game. As of how much, and what have been fixed? So far I've seen textures, filters and lights. It is possible they made more things of course. I wish we could get more info on that. Hair that wobbles are one of those things they could've patched if it was so important. Even if its an IGAvania, replayvalue is tricky. Even so I think that is more important. I might be alone on it, but thats how I feel. I do not want to find every secret in the game (without guides) going through it 30 times, playing a normal game each time, hitting a few walls here and there. Edit: Spelling
