But....I've enjoyed Bloodless for awhile prior, personally and since there's no Mocco Weed version of Alura, currently...... (boss revenge is going to be a very fun mode. Especially if the secret boss shows up)

The Bloodless outfits/playable (as one of the MAIN playables haha) craze is funny to me - she's getting so much attention because that happened to be the character featured in the graphics comparison video. Y'all calm down lol. NEVER!!! as Galamoth said it once, it would be awesome if Bloodless was, for some reason, a playable character and/or had more lore to her. I don't think this will happen, but it would be cool. OH yes, it absolutely would be cool. I'm a fan of Joachim Mode in Lament of Innocence, being able to play as a minor villain of the story... and now (even if it ends up as DLC rather than base-game), I really do want Bloodless to be playable in the main game mode. Though I am aware it's far more likely for them to be restricted to Boss Revenge Mode. ...Maybe there's a chance that some more characters could be playable in the future for the Roguelike Mode? (just throwing an idea out there) Crap, if she was playable, that'd be even better.....if we could get mod support, maybe that'd be possible to an extent? Wholly agreed. ...I'd like to get warthecheese in on this fun little discussion too.

Pure Miriam mourningxsun NezutoModding so you can play a whole castle with (NPC) Bloodless would go against some aspects and internal design-rules, and inflict more harm and confusement than actually being a positive thing in the long-run. It would be better if Bloodstained as an IP got enough recognition so Bloodless could be added officially as either a DLC or a spin-off character in other future games. It would make her justice and to IGA's vision. Everything else mentioned is... Maybe? We still are waiting on official information about modding. During a podcast we asked about modding, and Angel-Corlux, whom was interviewed at the time, did say he liked the idea and while he didn't promise anything he did explain our interest of modding to IGA-san and the development-team. Cross fingers guys!

Enkeria It would only be a real issue if we assume that Bloodless isn't playable via Boss Revenge mode. Given how hard this seemingly non-story relavent humanoid boss is being pushed/advertised, it's probably a safe bet to assume that she will be available in that mode. Assuming so, it wouldn't be the most difficult task in the world to flag her as an alternate character for the main game and just plop her in there.

warthecheese Looks like a Mega Man 2 / Rock Man 2 reference to me. I could be wrong Instead of vertically beaming up to begin the adventure after pressing start, she instead gets up from her blood bath then giggles. Pretty much one-to-one like her intro sequence in Curse of the Moon

Huh... I must have missed this somehow.... and I swear I had multiple playthroughs for all the PSN trophies..... You know, I think it must have been due to watching a bunch of back-to-back MM2/RM2 speedrun races recently

Thanks purify! Now war's pic makes more sense, though my initial guess wasn't too off the mark Enkeria I agree with you on the topic of making NPCs playable. Characters as DLC indeed should be thoroughly tested first before becoming available to the market. It's not just adding a character with the appropriate moveset and then call it a day. A few good game testers at the very least would be required to test if it is at all possible to complete the game AND able to access and interact with each and every screen. That all requires a lot of work and isn't just a simple hack. A possible scenario is changing up the platforms at a particular level or screen or removing walls/obstacles that normally wouldn't be an issue for the main characters like Miriam, Zangetsu, etc., but can potentially be an issue for, say, Bloodless. Maybe she always has her umbrella open and in doing so prevents her from entering tight spaces?

I need to be clear on a few things here before you guys expect Bloodless being playable.
No, making an NPC playable through modding isn't the best choice to a new game, a game still being supported by development team(s).
Making Bloodless playable would be a whole lot of issues for the development. Having her running around in the castle would mean more time to design. I highly doubtful she will be playable, or becoming an playable character in B:RotN. But you never know! Too many details goes again her being playable.
Boss Revenge is the best way to explore her, but even with the in mind she would be limited to one room, and a set numbers of animations (jumping, attacking, running etc.)
Options to play as her: 1. Boss Revenge mode, cool feature.
2A. Modding: Skin for Miriam. This would just have Miriam look like her and wouldn't be satisfying for most people.
2B. Add in patreon, years of development and a whole lot of cash to even make her as a stand-alone character made by fans. If there was any crazy enough to do it. This would likely go against some rules and copyright issues too.
3. Playable in her own game is a possibility. But B:RotN needs to be successful enough to even make this happen. She could either
3A. Be a young hero in a prequel before eventually die and becoming Bloodless. This would make aton of paperwork and features to make her interesting, and even that would just leave us with a version of ner not true to what you've seen in B:RotN.
3B. Play as her moments before meeting Miriam, or after, perhaps she somehow survived and are now looking to spread fear and drain victims. Again, ton of work to make her likeable and fun to play as.
Verdict: Boss Revenge or just a skin/costume for Miriam is most likely.

I can still see Bloodless being DLC down the road. Plus, we still don't know who the 2nd & 3rd playable characters are going to be (despite bits of info we can take heavy hints as to who they might be).

I highly doubt we'll be locked to one room in some kind of reversed boss rush mode. True, nothing has been confirmed for anything. Just "a mode". But keep expectations loooow. If not 1 room is enough, it could mean one of the random rooms in a pattern or grid. I still believe many bosses are locked in areas / rooms. Take Vepar for example, will he clip through the floor when he explore the castle? Or in other rooms? Boss Revenge should include all bosses, with perhaps an exception of IGA himself, due to the very nature of him being Backer Exclusive Content.
I do not see Bloodless running around on Galleon Minerva. But if they pull a Super Smash Bros on us, she could be in many other places. All depending on the rooms or areas.
Huge bosses would be tricky to control, like if they are multiple heads or enemies in a room, you might, as a boss, only play one of the many.
I just do not see any boss at all, running around. Huge bosses might not even have legs.

Wouldn't mind boss vs boss fights either to include the non-human type bosses.
Now if it's a boss that is essentially immobile and all they have are 3-4 attack patterns than yes I wouldn't care about that type of encounter, like the first phase of the final boss fight in DoS for example, but if the boss is able to move around the stage then I think that can still be fun, especially if you fight other bosses and/or a mix of regular enemies.

On a slightly-unrelated note... Ever since Bloodless was introduced, I never had the impression that she was anything other than a Vampire, due in no small part to all that blood she has control over. Despite possessing a Demon Shard, I don't believe she's a demon herself ( besides; if you used the logic of "because they have a Shard, they must be a demon"... then Miriam would be a demon too). And unless the "Mysterious Man" is also revealed to be a vampire (or "Alucard", as some theorize), Bloodless may be the only vampire character in the entire game.
