Regarding getting VNs from Fuwanovel, what would I need to play and/or patch them? Be cautious about anything you find that's labeled Fuwanovel. That site used to provide torrents, but got out of that scene and took down all of their files. Any files out there that have that tagged onto the file name is not from them, and could have been tampered with. Scan for safety. Yes, I didn't realize that Fuwanovel didn't provide torrents anymore. I guess what's left is Nyaatorrents? I used to get VNs from Hongfire, but I didn't check if they still have them. Google works wonders at any rate. |

I already suggested Eien no aselia/Aselia the Eternal. It is IMO a great first VN to try, and if it matters, there is no eroge in it.

I already suggested Eien no aselia/Aselia the Eternal. It is IMO a great first VN to try, and if it matters, there is no eroge in it. Well, it doesn't really matter if it's an eroge or not; I just like to read visual novels regardless of what they have. Speaking of, it's kinda ironic that I'm actually watching a good quality fandub of an Ace Attorney game. And believe me, they really make it good. |

I don't think I've ever seen a visual novel with anything even resembling high PC spec requirements. Certainly nothing on Steam has anything like that. I once had a PC that only had 512MB of ram, and the worst graphics card you can imagine. It ran Fate/Stay Night just fine. VNs should never give a PC any problems. |

Someone even put out a patch to use the PS3 sprites and voices. |

I didn't know Steam had Higurashi. Does it have Umineko too? No, and so far it only has the first chapter of Higurashi. It got put on Steam about a month ago. I'm assuming that once all of Higurashi gets put up, Umineko will be next. It's a Mangagamer release, and they actually made it where you can put whatever sprites in the game you want(it comes with new sprites that Mangagamer made in addition to the original). Here it is for about $6. |

Oddly enough, that one story I mentioned that I was writing in the Persona/SMT thread? The scripting would be done in the style of a VN.
I'm not going to post those ideas unless people are actually interested. That and I'm, well, not keen on getting negative criticism due to having low self-esteem.
But then again, without getting CONSTRUCTIVE criticism, how can I improve?
