What? "The Devil on the G-String"... lol I think that's one of the most humorous names (sub-titles) for any video-game that I've ever seen. It's not "The Devil on the G-String." It's "The Devil on G-String." Either way, it's a musical reference to "Air on the G-String." That piece is apparently referred to as Maou(translates to "devil" ) in Japanese, thus the title. There's a lot of classical music references in G-Senjou, and the VN's soundtrack is heavily influenced by it. For example: Though I can see now that "G-String" is also intended to be punny. It can easily be interpreted as referring to a certain something else, other than a violin string that makes the "G"-note sound. I have heard of Air on the G-String before, though that was a different context. |

I'm waiting for effing JAST to release seinarukana... I've been a fan of aselia for years before Jast got their hands on it. That said I've also been waiting for Mashiroiro symphony and baldr sky... both games have had a couple fan-translation attempts that claimed responsibility and have since just ceased activity with little to no notice or re-direction of work.. blarghaghagh.

Given that none of the developer's other works have such a title, it's pretty much certain that this one doesn't either. I mean, Air on the G-String was arranged in the early 18th Century. I'm pretty sure they didn't have thongs back then. |

There are tons of astounding eroges (Fate/Stay Night, Swan Song, Muv-Luv Alternative, Baldr Sky [though this I can't confirm], Grisaia Trilogy, Saya no Uta, Sharin no Kuni, Tsukihime, and many others). Scars Unseen has already said, but I'll reiterate: having sex scenes doesn't mean the entire VN is for fap. The kind of VN which that is true are the nukiges. I can understand why this is confusing, but there's a very "thick" line between them. |
