I feel inexperienced compared to some of you, I think I'll stick with all my Steins;Gate visual novels.....  Ha, same here. I'm overwhelmed by all these titles. My Japanese I'd say is around intermediate now, so I should start looking into them. |

Yeah, I plan on going to Japan to teach ESL, I ahve quite a few friends over there and it is what my degree is in. At any rate, I'll be sure to check out a few of the titles you guys listed. I'm a fan of the Fate/Stay night and zero anime so maybe I'll start with the source material. |

A few more I could mention: G-senjou no Maou(The Devil on G-string) - mystery/thriller/comedy VN involving high school students, yakuza and a criminal mastermind known as Maou Grisaia no Kajitsu - comedy/drama VN involving a high school for students with social/psychological issues. probably one of the funniest VNs I've read. Officially translated - All ages version on Steam with 18+ version to be released soon Saya no Uta - horror VN involving a college student who sees everything wrong following a traffic accident. Written by the guy who wrote Madoka Magica. This one's pretty messed up, but totally worth reading. Officially translated and available from JAST USA. Fate/Stay Night - action/fantasy/drama about a deadly competition between mages in modern Japan. There's a good anime adaptation that's finishing up for one of the routes, but I still highly recommend reading the VN |

I've played a few, but I'm not a huge fan of VN. I do enjoy them when I find one with great plot or gameplay if it has any.

A VN will either already come with an .exe for you to use, or you'll have to install the VN using Daemon Tools for the .iso file(or you could burn them onto a CD and install it that way, but I prefer Daemon Tools). Princess Waltz in particular is already patched if you get it from Nyaatorrents. You'll have to follow the instructions in its description.
