I had the same problem, but unplugging the Vive fixed it. I would also suggest making sure you have focus on the game's Window while it loads up, as I think that also helped fix my problems. By default, the game should be entering full screen.

I posted this on the Kickstarter, and I'm not sure how important this is anyhow, but if I try to start the game with an HTC Vive attached to my computer then it starts up the Vive and SteamVR. Closing SteamVR also shuts down the game. The workaround, obviously, is to unplug the headset. Also, I seem to be having a lot of issues with the Steam Controller when trying to use it on the demo, but that's probably because it isn't officially supported or what have you (though I hope that isn't always the case). while using the sword on Vepar some attacks were ignored and when i switched back to kung-fu shoes the attacks were registered. It was during the attack where Vepar's mouth starts chewing and slams tentacles at you. Also, when I set the resolution at 720 the screen fits fine but when I minimize the window and return to the game the screen becomes bigger and it no longer fits.

The fireball spell will sometimes not fire unless I use the water spell immediately before it. Miriam will raise her hand to use the spell, but the fireball will not appear, and mana will not be drained after the animation.

I just tried out the Demo earlier and one of the bugs that got me scratching my head was there were times that Miriam's normal attacks wouldn't actually connect with any of the monsters' hitboxes, using a trigger shard works though, just not any of the normal attacks.

a more accurate translation for the longsword would be "Sword made for easy handling." instead of "Sword made for easy handle."

also win8.1 alt tabbing out and back into the game fullscreen 1920x1080 causes letterbox squish effect, quitting to title screen after and alt tabbing back in causes the screen to stay black until alt is pressed but squish persists (possible an unseen menu or steam tab is taking over the refresh, its possible other buttons refresh the screen as well), switching to windowed and back to fullscreen will fix the squish and alt tabbing out and back in after using the window/fullscreen trick does not cause the squish to reappear, also surprisingly taking a steam screenshot does not show the squish effect
using an xbox 360 controller with the windows dongle, game moves very well despite my wonky LB >P, dpad does work and the left analog seems to switch from movement to crouch at about 4 and 8 o clock

Hello,
I'm currently using the Microsoft Elite controller for the XBOX One with the wireless adapter for controls. When using the L analog stick for movement, there is this weird glitch thing where your direction goes the other way when landing after performing a jump. It happens about 65 percent of the time during my three runthroughs. Using the digital D-Pad works properly however.
I did check my controller and it was at 96% battery life and tested all inputs to make sure there is nothing wrong with my controller.
I tried using an XBox 360 controller with the Wireless adapter for it and the L analog stick works properly.
Wndows 10 Home edition Nvidia GTX980M Intel Core I7-6700HQ 16 GB RAM

While attempting to jump to a platform that I can not manage to reach in the second room I started spamming buttons and managed to slide while my character was standing (note it wasn't a back step) as my character was moving forward.
Using a Xbox One controller. No other issues thus far and beat the demo other than this spot I cant get to.

Whenever I start up the demo, it shows the screen fine until I click it into the foreground. Then my whole monitor goes black and after a while my desktop will show with the game minimized. Whenever I click the game the same black screen to desktop error occurs. I think it may have to do with the Aspect Ratio / Resolution issue, but I'm not sure. Edit: I think I fixed it? It was weird. With my controller connected I started the game up in the background (as in another window was in front). From there I went to the title screen's Options and changed the default resolution from 1600X900 to 1080x1920. Then I started the game and put it in the foreground. Works fine now. So it seemed to be a default Resolution issue/error (as my screen is only 1080p)? I'm running into a similar issue (and posted it in the feedback section without noticing this topic), though in my case, I can't seem to get it fixed. The issue crops up whenever I select 1080p, but leaving it at the default 900p that it seems to load doesn't give me any issues. When at 1080p, however, it continues to minimize whenever I try to get back into the game, so... Yeah. That's really the only issue I've run into. My specs are RADEON R9 270X, 4GB DDR2, and AMD Phenom II X6 1090T 3.20GHz, running on Windows 10. So not sure why this issue would be occuring.

Okay I figured out the standing slide. I managed to do it a few more times by pressing down and as I am pressing a to start a slide I hit up if timed correctly you will slide standing up.
*edit*It counts as a slide even though you are shown as standing up as I was able to slide under a wall while standing. Also spamming a bunch of buttons lets you attack faster sometimes.

There's a limit for the letter counts so we may need to rephrase it differently. We're going to have a professional localization company to work on the final game so these are only temporary. We'll report the letterbox squish. It seems like we're having problems with the screen resolution for the most part.

(GTX 960M) The frame rate drops very badly in the room where the boss pops through the wall. This can be "fixed" by quickly opening and closing the map (probably the menu as well). (HD 530) The screen will regularly flash a random color after a chest has been opened, or an enemy dies. The sound, in particular footsteps in water, can sometimes sound garbled or distorted.

Long time lurker, first time poster. Been mega hyped for this demo. But alas it seems my monitor doesn't support the game's native resolution. It tells me "Input signal out of range." While obviously not a bug, I did look all over for a sort of configuration file so that I could externally change the resolution or change it to Windowed, but I couldn't find anything of the sort. Alt+Enter doesn't activate Windowed mode either. Unfortunately neither did typing -windowed into the Steam's Launch Options.
Is there a way to change the resolution outside the game itself? If not, I highly suggest incorporating something that could let us do that. It's impossible for me to play the game without it.

Just played through the demo, I love it. But I found a bug/glitch? When I used head flail against the hidden room entrance that can't be opened, the head flail appears on the other side of the room for a single frame or so. Don't know if this has been noticed before. It happened in this room against the wall I am closest to. EDIT: seems to happen in any small room where you can see both walls , tried it multiple times in multiple rooms, and it happened consistently. You gotta jump and the use head flail on the right wall and this causes it to appear on the left side of the room in the lower corner. About half way through my first play-through, the sound cut out randomly. It actually muted my entire computer. I had to restart my PC to fix the issue. Second play-through it did not happen.
