Bloody Tears though, id leave that song playing for hours
the gameboy tracks are pretty epic though, espeacially when you bring them up to the capabilities of the other systems

Sooo, its a tossup between a klepto lone wanderer, the entire population of shotgun or better wielding Vault 013, Big Boss, Jonathan/Charlotte, Alucard, and a tag team of every Zelda character...
ummm, eep?

actually, this would be a great idea for a speedrun mode, where you get endings based on how fast you complete it (similar to the CV2 endings), and if you become fully cursed the game doesnt stop but you get the curse ending and if you die while fully cursed you get a special game over, as a core mechanic though i dont want to be constrained to a time limit unless the game was initially intended to be that way and is built around that as THE core mechanic
as for the dyes i think the primary reason people didnt want it was twofold, that you then have to farm them for each change of color and each armor/costume change forces you to do it all over again, and that dyes limited you to x colors, and if those colors end up looking like shit people wont use them (i have this probem in eso and swtor, a lot of colors end up looking wrong with certain textures and armors, and theres no way to adjust it to look right), whereas a color wheel/slider allows you to pick that perfect shade of dark blue or watermelon pink/green

i liked LoS (except Forgotten One, they really didnt do him justice, just turned him into a frustrating aoe spambot, but i squeed when i figured out what the music box theme was) and MoF, LoS2 though... ill play further in eventually but it went too far at trying to pull a metroid debuff and redoing the metal gear section over and over at the beginning because of a lack of showing you the path you HAVE to take or autodie, random glitches and random godmode enemies was frustrating Judgement however fits for what it was intended for, it was an experiment with the motion controls the Wii had, and Iga didnt want you to have to simulate whipping for hours on end (skyward sword at least has sections where you are exploring and not fighting to break up the combat, think how many times you hit attack in most castlevania games in an hour >P), i dont play it often but its good for the occasional diversion or item hunt LoI and CoD are pretty good, they suffer from CnP hallway syndrome but you can see in many places the amount of detail that went into the game, and they have some beautiful areas and music, i wanna go back through and replay them again, and they still have the metroidvania elements like backtracking and item hunts (and creature farming), just not as heavily (except the creature farming, that was in full force >P) Been replaying SotN for the 1000th time, RoB, PoR (cleaning up the arena for 1000%atm), beat DoS again, plan to restart OoE soon, then run the GBA games again, and then probably try to beat the classics somewhere in there (played them before, but only beat CV2)
i am hoping they make good use of the camera and have the characters gesture and move to give cutscenes a bit of extra flair like the rondo cutscene in SotN, R(phlegm)eechter and Dracula making all those little gestures as they talked made an already epic scene feel like it was actualy going on and not a static image while dialogue played, happy about the 2d overlay for dialogue, im curious to see the different emotions the busts have

yes the godshield is broken, sos the crissaegrim, but i actually want something cool and op like that in, for one simple reason
you dont HAVE to use it
there are many op things in Iga games, and if you were forced to use it it would make sense to ask for its exclusion, i for one welcome those broken combos because if i want to use it its there, and that also encouraged experimenting with the game, if nothing in a game interacts with another then it devolves into what has the best stat and is the enemy weak to it, hell most rpgs the elemental weakness is so minor i end up using the most powerful weapon i have and mash attack a lot because theres no point in strategy if you can just beat it to death with the biggest hammer, rinse the blood off, and repeat the whack a mole minigame again
anyway, rant over, as for subweapons i dont see the need for them to be a separate mechanic entirely, but having them be an extension of the magic system like DoX and PoR where theyre like a secondary attack instead of candle fodder you have to go halfway across the map to reacquire

my big problem with the vita is ive looked through its library, and literally 99% of the games on it are either not out in the us or TBA (a LOT of them), are ports of a game i already have (smtp4, bloodstained, etc), are ios/droid/microtrans ports (the new mana, angry birds), are from series i havent played yet and are much cheaper to get into on something i already have when i get around to them (atelier, xian odyssey, tales of, etc), or are ps1/psp games i would have to rebuy again (my entire psp/ps1 library), and likely cant use my saves on, the list goes on. its not lack of good games, its that it doesnt have enough games to stand on its own (granted xb1 and ps4 are the same way but for a different reason) or the draw of "bring your old toys, we have space for them" (having a voucher system where you can insert your game in the ps3/4/psp and have it generate a redeem code wouldve been a workaround)
the few games that dont fit any of those or i want to play are the 2 ys games (i missed those cause by that time i was glassy eyed and tired of scrolling, but ones unnamed still), the seiken densetsu remake (that i have on gb and gba already because fuck this game rules), muramasa rebirth (looks cool), neptunia (have to play through the first one still), demon gaze, and deception 4. thats about it
anyway, good to know i can get ys 6 when it goes on sale
FF Adventure remake, look at the awesome!

PUUURAAAASMAAAAA! love mystical ninja and faxanadu, played ultima 3 and 6 on nintendo a bunch, wish there was a version of 1-3 on pc that had nes graphics and music and the same for 4-5 that used the 6 engine (kinda like kq1 vga), and Ys needs a remake of 4-6 so bad

...i'd also like to see day/night transitions... and i'd really like to see this play an active role in the castle. for example, secret rooms unlock depending on how the sun casts the stain glass into the room. This would need to be tied to actual hints, mind you, i don't want this to just be random "stand in every room for 8 hours and hope you find one with a secret". maybe the hint for the room is discovered in a book in one of the many libraries. Whisperingid said a while back this about having the daylight at a certain hour shine through stained glass windows and unlock a secret. I think that's a pretty rad idea. That is really cool, i can see ways this could be done too if a daycycle isnt present, like a time altering ability that normally freezes enemies can be used in some places to affect the environment and open secret areas, quick puzzles like this could be a way to make 'subweapons' (or whatever they become) more useful too, kinda like the stopwatch in SotN had a second use >P

Dont remember when i got it, but i started with 1, if i didnt die to medusas and stairs, i died to the hallway dragons, mummy or frankie, still havent beaten it without savestates. Then came cv2, loved it, beat it, still play it. i either missed or rented 3, just know i didnt own it
missed out on the 16 bits and gbs entirely, too many rpgs to play.
Then came ps1 and SoTN, and holy fuck i love that game, can damn near run it in my head (along with zelda). And after that every new castlevania game i had to have and 100% (still working on OoE), even the n64s (wonky but beatable) and the 3dIGAs (yes i like them, they suffer from copy paste syndrome but the familiars and forgotten one was epic)
love LoS as a classicvania, the new forgotten one fight is infuriating though, theres no tactics, its just thwack dodge hope he doesnt autohit you with his stupid fast lookalike aoes, MoF and 2 i started but havent beaten
And now im slowly picking up the ones i missed and beating them, missing bloodlines, DX, and 2 of the gb ones still
So yeah, now im just hoping konami pulls its collective head out of its ass and give cv another proper game, preferably with Iga or someone who grew up with it and is willing to fight to make it great

You know, if mobile games could accomplish any type of touch interface more sophisticated than 'hit/swipe the object' or 'navigate tiny menus and stutterwalk through a halfass port of a game you love', id be fine with mobile gaming, till then ill make do with my psp and the massive library i can cram into it

Its going to be m cause the reviewers are always a bunch of prudes with trees up their asses, nothing but free time and an axe to grind against anything that could be misconstrued as fun
I just hope they dont force Iga to censor his art, but at the same time i dont think it really matters since its a digital release and they cant hold it hostage bearly as easily as a physical release

Possibly. Good of you to bring that up. I think there could be a way for the Poltergeist to keep possessing an unlimited number of random wine-glasses after Miriam throws them for her "Winestained" special skill. Perhaps the Poltergeist being the current Familiar can actually provide stronger buffs for Miriam when she uses that skill. what if it is just a normal Poltergeist and it just throws loose objects at the enemies. it could even take over weaker monsters to fight for you... and when the player is idle for too long... Miriam pulls out her wine glass and the familiar posses it and plays with it until the player moves and then it falls and shatters lol, have it pull randomly from the list of objects in the game, so you could get wine glass, chair, book, peanut, piano, bread, rat, table...

definitely like the badbetterbest dynamic Iga usually uses, it could have 100 endings and id only care then if there was no extra that kept track of which ones id collected >.>
also CV2 had multiple slightly different endings based on time
