I'm in the same boat. I've never been much on watching youtube groups, so unfortunately I don't know any of them. Other than the two who hosted. I might try out their channels and see who I like the best or just choose one of the weapon clans as they are fairly neutral. Yeah, I was just gonna go with Clan Katana.. Same here. I was thinking that and was later given that title on sword or whip.  |

So they mentioned cheat codes based on the credit clans... i wonder how that works out? i'd assume all cheat codes will be available to everyone so it doesnt matter, in the end, which clan you pick for the credits, other than grouping yourself.
still kinda burns my ass about no comment section clan. We absolutely helped make this campaign successful, the least they could do is dream up _one_ more cheat code and code in an extra header for the clan. it's really not that much work. Plenty of money was raised for this project to allow for that.
I'm going to continually badger Ben Judd until I get a solid "NO" from him...

Oh man, the worse thing is that *WE* individually lose something from not picking some other clan, there's no winners, only losers and I would bet we won't get to know what we're losing before choosing the credit clan :x
Also @whisperid don't desesperate, they just can't divided their attention for each thing all 65k backers could ask, that's why they will most problably answer the same question once, we will listen to your rant, ha ha |

Everyone loves the guy, but, tbh, he really chaps my ass. RavenspearI realize he's busy, but for the people who've worked to help make the campaign successful, why not spare a few seconds? I have a feeling the liquor is talking now so i'll just hold my comments until i sober up. expect this post to be edited at some point XD |

Don't feel bad, the only comments I got back from Ben were when the conversation briefly spoke about the Lunar games. He said that it would be highly unlikely to get another unfortunately.

We cleared all our clans with the crew based largely on the size of their subscriber base (minimum YouTube subs was generally 50k+) and their focus on metroidvania games.
If you don't like any of the Youtuber clans, you can choose CLAN IGA!these clans were "cleared" before the money started pouring in. they have way more money than they ever expected to have. I don't see where asking for an extra clan is unreasonable.

Though I fail to see how, perhaps they think most pledgees were fine with the pre-established clans? I admit I'd be torn between a backer clan and the Zaibatsu. |

hybridmiriamI'm not trying to tear people away from their planned clans :-) I was just thinking for those of us who don't have a clan... And for the purposes of credits, those who backed multiple $100 tiers could technically choose multiple clans. and you're right, they probably don't feel like it's worth the effort/money given that everyone else would likely happily throw their hat into an existing clan... i just kinda feel like the comment section had some cool people in it and i'd rather associate myself with them for posterity. My last comment on the KS comment section pretty much summed up how i feel @michael hubert
work paid for by the the funds raised, right? considering IGA never expected to surpass $800k, i think there are some spare funds lying around, maybe the extra lying in PayPal could cover it.
i realize different stretch goals cost varying amounts of $$ and people really want to see those successful over a new clan, but really, an add'l clan is a drop in the bucket here in terms of costs
not trying to be a jerk, but i just don't see why there'd be resistance to this if there really was an appreciation for the people who helped make this possibleIn the end, i don't see it happening so i'll just have to throw a dart and pick something.

Sorry if this is stupid but what exactly are the credits clans for?
I assume it's just serve as the 'section' in game credits roll(after game ending) where your name($100+backers) would appear. Or are there any other purpose?

i recall some youtube channel that's a clan saying they wanted a mustache cheat that places mustaches on enemies and characters... if that's so, i wouldn't mind just going for Clan Katana or Broadsword
would have loved Clan Hammer though

We know each clan gets a unique cheat code of some sort... Just don't know what they do.
The comment clan could have been something like change enemy names to be @monster or something.

Guys, you have to understand, that with all things, if you give in once you're expected to give in again.
I experience this a lot as a cashier. If someone else who works with me did something they weren't supposed to and say gave out something for free, suddenly I'm expected to do the same.
If I know someone who is real down on their luck and I help them out somehow, the person who is next in line wants the exact same treatment.
It's not as if I'm about to deprive anyone of food, but it's not so simple as to just say "this one simple task you would have me do is not a problem at all".
Think of it this way:
If what you want them to do is give in to demand, that is unacceptable.
If what you want them to do is take a set of groups and only choose so many from the set, that is acceptable.
They were able to add that facebook group (at least I think they added that), because it was on Facebook. That's their go to Facebook option now, and now they can't just add any other Facebook groups.
The option of "well, just add this one clan, and say no to absolutely everyone else" is also unacceptable. That satisfies just a few individuals while angering many more.
Let me edit this with some more constructive advice:
If you want to have a better chance of getting your clan through, find a potential clan that has a good amount of wide spread popularity, that is not on Youtube, Facebook, or Twitch.
