Well, I don't know about the rest of you guys, but I'm convinced. I think that's exactly what Aonuma will confirm about this game's timeline placement... and about the Link we'll be playing as. Now all is left to explain is how money can bend time & space to bring wolf link from a different timeline. I'm pretty sure I'm gonna get that game even without amiibos of breath of the wild or wolf link

If this indeed turns out to be true, that the Link of "Breath of the Wild" is in-fact a grown-up & experienced ALttP Link, then I already know which incarnation of Link that I want to see in the next "Super Smash Bros." game, if there will be one. My preference for Link's design in the next SSB game would simply be a fusion of artwork from both A Link to the Past & Breath of the Wild. (Basically, give BotW Link the "Hylian Shield" and Master Sword designs from A Link to the Past.) The Link of both the original SSB & Melee was the "Ocarina of Time" Link, and the Link of both Brawl & SSB4 (for Wii U & 3DS) was the "Twilight Princess" Link. I think it's definitely time for a change by the next game!

Looking back on things a bit... The Master Sword in LttP didn't have a blue hilt at all, and was eventually replaced by the level 4 golden sword kinda. However, if you really look at that image of him holding up the sword, he is holding it up towards the sky which makes it glow. Though honestly Link's hair is pink due to sprite color limitations, so that might also have to do with why it doesn't have a blue hilt. Breath of the Wild seems to have been connecting almost all of the previous games, so I feel like we'll be seeing some random links to other games.

whats messed up is the tempered sword looks more beat up and is used in the title screen, lttp has by far the least consistent design, probably because it is the first instance of the sword in the series, but even then the eventual design of the master sword was there, its just had many color changes explained away as its been tempered, powered up, enchanted, reforged, blessed, whatever the game has needed to advance the story theres a bunch of speculating i could do on how the 100 years may be wrong and right at the same time, but i wanna wait until i get my hands on the game, and i have the feeling the storys gonna be pretty interesting in this one

First of all how is it that you temper a sword and the hilt suddenly is blue now.

Gosh, HWL has so much to do. I've barely scratched the surface of the Master Quest Adventure Map and now another DLC map is set to be released! Oh well, I can take my time. Currently taking a break from Legends to play the Oracle games since I bought them while they were on sale a few days ago. I'mean four dungeons down in Seasons. It's really good! I played Seasons before when I was little but I lost my game pack...

I don't like that they're adding stuff to Hyrule Warriors Legends and ignoring the one on the Wii U. I really don't want to buy the game a second time, and don't feel I should have a reason to barring wanting to play it on the go.

Well, at least new characters and weapons on the 3DS version are being added to the Wii U version. I'm sure that once HW:L has run its course, the Wii U version will seem like the better experience.
I'm done with the Wii U version's grinding, though. Grinding all the way up to level 255? Who in the world thought that was a good idea? (It was probably intended to be a reference to the funny little 255-256 issue with the old NES, but still, dumb.)

I don't have a Wii U so Legends was obviously the better deal for me. But wow, Wii U levels go up to 255?! That's insane! In Legends I'm pretty sure 99 is the max, if Miiverse posts are anything to go by.

Long story short, Koei went insane with increasing the level cap on the Wii U version.
At launch, the level cap was 99.
Which was then raised via patch to 150.
Which was then raised via patch to 200.
Finally capping at level 255.
At the very least, Hyrule Warriors Legends has proven to be more balanced in this regard. It looks like the level cap isn't going past 99. (Though as a trade-off, leveling is moderately slower in Legends.)

What got you into the Zelda franchise For me it's simple enough, Link to the Past was the first adventure game i played and also the second game i played in my life. (Following Super Mario World) Needless to say, i got hooked immediatly with the world i could explore freely, all the dungeons, items, heart pieces to find. To this day, i still play through LttP at least once per year and it never gets old. The new Zelda game looks interesting, i'm just worried dungeon design will be lackluster with the new approach they're going for it.

Let us have faith in the team's ability to create interesting hand-crafted dungeons! (At least pertaining to the main story) While I am admittedly worried about dungeon design as well, I'm betting that relatively 'lackluster' (simpler) designs will all just be for smaller optional dungeons.

I'd hafta say that Majora's Mask is my favorite because of how dark it is, because of the mature elements, and because of how the game is larger than itself, in SO many ways. Played that game sooo many times...

So, for those of you playing Hyrule Warriors / Legends, what are your thoughts on the new Link's Awakening DLC Pack? you enjoying playing as Marin, or using Linkle's new Boots weapon? For those with Legends, what are your thoughts on the new Adventure Mode Map?
My self, I am loving Marin so far, and I find I enjoy Linkle's boots more so than her crossbows.

I have only scratched the surface of the DLC. I don't have Linkle's boots yet but Marin is fun to play as. Also, the level cap got bumped to 150. Thanks guys; I hadn't even hit Level 99 yet.
Because of this DLC I ended up giving Link's Awakening DX another spin as soon as I finished the Oracle games. It's a good game but the text scrolling is painfully slow and can't be changed. I don't mind it that much during story text but when I have to scroll through the long set of text for the compass for the 5th time (or worse, one of those stupid messages that play if you accidentally push a rock you can destroy with an item) it gets annoying. Also, in Turtle Rock, if you use a Small Key on the wrong door it becomes impossible to proceed in the dungeon. Thank God I did not save after I made that mistake; otherwise I would have had to start the whole game over instead of just the dungeon. That's a massive design oversight IMO.
I also don't like that arrows, bombs, and magic powder are almost exclusively found either in shops or as flying objects in dungeons. Several times I had to drop my dungeon run to buy more stuff, a task made more tedious by the frustrating lack of warp points. Speaking of which, the execution of the warp points is not my cup of tea. There's only four normal ones, and one of them is on top of the final freaking dungeon. And while Manbo's Mambo is pretty convenient, I wish it let you pick a warp point to go to instead of always dropping you in Manbo's Pond. Or, if it had to be the way it is designed, a normal warp point should have been put near Manbo's Pond. They nailed the warping in A Link to the Past, so why does it suck in this game?!
I still enjoyed it in spite of these flaws, but I liked the two Oracle games more.

The level cap going up really depresses me. I liked how the game seemed to be rebalanced for a level cap of 99, them raising the level cap like that hurts my desire to continue playing the game. On the Wii U version, I raised Volga to level 255, but used the rupee glitch to deal with anyone else I wanted up at that level. I don't want to have to put up with that again.
As for the new characters, I have to say that it's like every kicking moveset in a Warriors games becomes a favorite of mine. (Naotori Ii's War Princess Boots is one of my best weapons in SW4, whilst I've been using Guan Suo of Dynasty Warriors more ever since he traded the nunchucks away in favor of the Sabatons.) Linkle's Winged Boots are no exception. Though I slightly favor Linkle's Crossbows for crowd control purposes.
But Marin's bell is the real standout of this batch of DLC. I love the moveset of that thing. A few friends of mine were complaining about a 'repetitive sound' with the weapon, but the music note sound isn't really bothering me. It's not a tenth as annoying as the high pitched noise that Tatl and Tael make when you play as Skull Kid. (That sound is piercingly annoying on the Wii U version where it's significantly louder.)
