Welp a new DLC pack for HWL was released, you know what that means~ I'm really liking this DLC pack, though not as much as the first. I was excited for Toon Zelda, but she feels more like a glorified Phantom character rather than an actual Toon Zelda character. However Toon Links new weapon, the Sand Wand, is a lot of fun. I really like being able to attack with the sand blocks, as well as summon the train~ So what do you guys think of the new DLC hmm? You enjoying it so far? Also someone online already managed to finish the illustration from the Grand Travels Adventure Map, I love it~ It's kinda surreal seeing all these characters together like this, but in a good way. |

Oh man I love this video <3 Hyrule Warriors was the best thing to happen to the Zelda franchise, if only because we finally got a Zelda game in HD (that wasnt a port) with high quality models and designs people could use for glorious fan art, videos like this, and kick ass cosplay. also the best incarnation of Ganondorf ever, dat mane <3 |

Soon, I'll bet Breath of the Wild will be an even greater addition to the Zelda franchise.
Undoubtedly for more reasons than just the great possibility of the Link featured in that game being the same one from Link to the Past.

Another day, another Hyrule Warriors DLC, this time we got a theme set around A Link Between Worlds. Ravio and Yuga, the Lorulean counterparts of Link and Ganondorf, join the battle. Ravio fights with the Hammer and the various items th at appear in the HW series. He even brings in his Rental ICe Rod from ALBW. Yuga fights with his enchanted paint staff and picture frames. Creating electrical and flaming bursts of magic to damage enemies, and even setting electric glyph traps on the ground that explode after a set period of time. Have any of you got the new DLC, if so what are your thoughts on it? Personally I love using both, Yuga has a lot of fast and powerful strikes and his trap system is fun. Ravios moveset is very flashy and effective, which makes him both fun to use and watch be used. As before, here is the official Gold Skulltula artwork for this pack. Hope y'all are having as much fun as I am. |

It's been a while since I played Hyrule Warriors, but with this final DLC I decided to jump back in. Tried out everything except Toon Link's Sand Wand, which I will get to eventually.
Ravio is an absolute joy. He is hilarious to watch, especially his running animation, and he's fun to play, too. I'm not a big fan of Yuga as a character but he was surprisingly fun to play as.
They also bumped the level cap to 255. UGH. My highest level character is 67-ish with the rest around 45-50, so I am not looking forward to that grind.

welp we got a new Breath of The Wild trailer and I gotta say it's got me super excited! I love the fact that, after so many years they're finally including proper voice acting! no more awkward grunting or gasping during text, at least for major story segments anyway. Also I am loving Zeldas design in this game, and i'm so happy shes getting an amiibofor this game. I wonder how it will work with this game. |

I'm reaching a point where I need to be cautious about shelf space with my amiibos. I got all of the 30th anniversary Zelda amiibos and all of the Smash Zelda amiibos, but with the BoTW amiibos, I'm going to wait to see their function in the game and then decide which ones I'll be getting.
The announcement that the Guardian amiibo's legs can be bent as I wish did make me feel a little better about that amiibo. If the legs weren't meant to be moved, that one would take up a bit too much space.

Breath of the Wild's new trailer would've been glorious even without voice-acting.
I don't mind the inclusion of voice-acting, but I'm far more hyped about the prospect of exploring that entire world-space and fighting against all the enemies.
*(EDIT): If you ask me, it looks like Link will still be a silent protagonist. =D (Unless Nobuyuki Hiyama's been practicing lines behind-the-scenes for a future trailer.)

I think Link will still be a silent protagonist outside of his battle cries. Though I could see BoTW to be one of those games that makes the periodic joke about the main protagonist's general silence.
Seems like a natural progression, after Skyward Sword poked fun at the "dramatically hold an item up in the air once you get it" franchise tradition.
