Anyone else actually love the first shader but wish Miriam was paler like the second? I feel like for a character that has a curse, her being a bit pale makes a good bit of sense. I like everything else about her shader 1 model I just wish she was slightly paler like the second shader.

I like to be reminded of castlevania even though it's not castlevania. Those little touches matter. I think a midway point between the two styles would be good. Strictly discussing the shaders, I think shader one detail wise has the most detail and atmosphere, but there's characteristics from 2 that should be applied to 1.

Oddly enough I feel like the crystal effect pops more on her legs in the first one which may be what they were going for. My understanding is that the crystal effect is the illness so technically her body is fine in the areas that aren't affected.

We're all acting like it's pick 1 and the others are eliminated. Here is an interesting theory about the shaders we have right now and the ones coming.
What if Iga + crew are analyzing our likes and dislikes about the shaders and the final product will be a hybrid of the things we like about the different shaders.
For example, Shader 1's Miriam, Shaders 2 world, and so on.
Or is that asking for too much.

i like the reddish in #1 and the glow in #2 #2 also look a bit too grey out also. but i want to say something about Miriam's BUST i think her clothing should be quite supporting up her bust but i don't see a sharp cleavage due to this Miriam is now complaining about bust wobbling during battle because of the loose supporting function of her cloth

I like the 2d drawn look of shader 2 but it's tooo drab and lacks the fog which gives it a nice atmosphere. I'd be much more in support of 2 if it wasn't completely void of detail and color.

I can't move past this I must know ....help I think it was moved in order to help compare how objects look at different distances and camera angles, but I also noticed it's in different locations for each shader and it's not in the final shader 2 screenshot at all. As a side note, I can't un-notice the hatched lines for shader 2. They feel a little bit too grainy for me.

like I said on Kickstarter, I'm not convinced with the shaders but if I have to chose I'm slightly in favor of #1. I think the 3D elements should be removed from the Unreal engine or locked out because it still looks 3D and don't come close to what Arc System Works had done. I'm sure that Inti Creates can surpass them.
I left the GDC of them in the Graphics thread.

I don't mind the combination of 1 and 2. 1 for character for more vibrant and 2 in the background as it has that castlevania feel. I hope that IGA can find way to combine the 2 into something more.

I really do like 2, but I just can't get over the amount of architectural detail that gets left out. I like the color of 2 better, just not the detail loss. To my eyes Shader 1 looked better. Now am not competent how these things work but shouldn't something like this change depending on the room and intended atmosphere?

Personally I think that combining the two would be best. I like the muted colors of #2 in the foreground but I like the hazy "glow" (is that the right term?) #1 has in the distance. I also really prefer how Miriam looks with shader #1
Edit: If they an get the muted colors without the loss of detail that would be perfect.

I like shader 1 more overall. I like Miriam's paler skin in shader 2, as well as the contrast of the far wall and the sky seen through the windows. But overall shader 2 is a tad too washed out, and I'm not fond of the hatched shadows. The vibrant look of shader 1 definitely appeals to me more.
I have to say I'm very happy with Miriam's character model so far. The knee thing will hopefully be fixed, and I'd like for her marks to look more like actual stained glass and less like tattoos, but that's just me nitpicking. These initial screens are a HUGE relief and I can't wait to see more.

It's really hard to decide between Shader 1 and 2. Personally, I pick Shader 1. In my opinion, both shaders are good but they have some up and down. Shader 1 Pros: - Colorful - More details - The view is more clear - Might attract some new audiences Cons: - Less gothic feeling - Less unique, too ordinary - Too bright Shader 2 Pros: - It's darker, giving more gothic style feeling - Might attract some new audiences - Less bright Cons: - Less details. It feels like some pixels/shadows are missing - The light has stripes This is just my taste. Really, it was hard to decide. I would pick the one that I think it might help Lord IGA to get more fans :3 Btw guys, it's important if you vote for which shader you like. It might also be helpful for the developpers to see the ratio between choice 1 and 2. And I recommend you guys to point out the up and down for both shaders. Who knows, maybe the devs will make another shader that beat Shader 1 and 2 combined. XombieMike lol for some reasons I like your shader more
