I am not not a PC gamer, but this opportunity has awakened a conflict within me. A conflict between my desire to help this game reach it's full potential, and my desire for a pure and unspoiled experience... And I'm not talking about the storyline spoilers, I'm talking about spoiling the overall game experience. Whenever I fire up a brand new Castlevania game that first time, I'm hotter than a virgin bride ovulating on her wedding night. And I'm afraid the unpolished Beta (and it's design trap, bug, and crash hunting duties) will throw cold water and extinguish my hot fiery anticipation for this game...
Are there any experienced Beta Testers out there who care to comment on these matters?

I would like to beta test this game because of my proximity to the community. Do I worry it will taint the experience? Hell yeah I do. Am I going to do it anyway? Yeah, it's bittersweet. |

Most betas nowadays are polished to the point of being nothing more than previews, so you should probably treat it like that.

I'm moving towards PC gaming and I backed the $60 digital copy, but whether or not I'll participate in the beta will depends on how it's done.
My ideal beta would be similar to Chasm's where they have updates adding one area of the map at a time and you try to find bugs/glitches and provide feedback to the devs. But I also hope the beta doesn't give away all the areas of the castle and there's still a large amount of surprises in the final product.
I just hope the game doesn't pull a Starbound where people got early access and people bought it expecting a "beta" where it's just a preview rather than an actual beta where things are glitchy or buggy.

I picked the Wii U version, so I will not be beta testing. I would like to so it because I would have earlier opportunity to play the long awaited game. At the same I wouldn't do it because of spoiling the experience you talked about, when the game is properly released. It will be tough to stay away from videos that show the beta versions of the game! Impossible even  |

my digital version is steam so ill be betaing, im hoping they leave a few breaks we find in so theres some really interesting speedtech for me to watch when it comes out ^3^
i think it would be very easy for them to have the beta be a mockup with terrain and pathing, placeholder enemies and spells, an npc or two to talk to and test out trigger and quest systems, it doesnt necessarily have to be anything even remotely resembling the final game until some time in

I have such a conflict as well but I'll probably beta test anyway. This virgin bride wants some foreplay, and hopefully it will make the real game a better experience, even if I already know some tricks.

Yeah of course. I'm a PC gamer and I already have beta-tested some games like Diablo 3 (closed beta), Heroes of the Storm (closed too) and some MMOs. Actually, I only rose my pledge because of this (originally it was $28, which already was something for me).

I am not a PC gamer. I would love to be but computers are expensive and the one I currently have is at least 7 years old and can barely run many games nowadays.

I'm beta testing Tree of Savior right now and I was in the beta test for FFXIV 2.0, as well as Guild Wars 2.
I'm no stranger to betas.

The spoil problem is one of my problems. Other one is about the Might n9 effect: the beta make a lot of people think the game is not really a spiritual sucessor... But in the beta is hard to say it soon. After this, I preffer wait the final game... but maybe I try the beta Bloodstained... maybe... oh god...  |

PC is one of my choices to play on. (I have a hope that they'll make it easier for us to mod). I will for sure participate on the Beta if it comes out at a good time (around the summer hopefully). I just hope that they don't put in any cutscenes or spoil too much story on there, and that it's for mostly gameplay testing purposes. Even if there is some story on there, I'll try it out anyway since it is a bit difficult to avoid spoilers these days and I'd rather see it with in my own play through.

Give us fake dialogue or something, and non spoilery areas.

Yeah I intend to test and make liberal use of any report form thing.
I also enjoy beta tests for balance reasons. Its nice being able to remember overpowered bosses or stages or enemies from times past provided there were any, and there often are.

I will join the beta to see how progress on development is going, and give my feedback while possible. I don't intend to spoil anything for myself, but I can't wait to see the visuals and movement/interaction controls for myself.
If I have my way, i'll be killing the equivalent of the zombies in SoTN's first area over and over again =)

I'm an all rounder gamer, switching between PC, console, handhelds, etc. That being said I've done beta testing in the past for World of Warcraft on their PTR's (patch test realms) so I'm definitely interested in beta testing Bloodstained!

I'm a PC gamer and yes, be a beta tester isn't a bad idea. I have a high-end PC but at the moment I have a shameful internet connection (download: 0.25 Mbps; upload: 0.90 Mbps; ping: 45) and probably when I'll finish the download of the Beta the game will be already done. XD

I don't have the 60 tier yet, I plan on getting it once those surveys come out, but you can bet I'm going to sign up to beta test. I'm getting it on PC anyway, but does it matter if you chose physical or digital?
Anyway, I can understand if people don't want to spoil the experience. As for me, I would get the chance to make sure that the experience is rock solid? That sounds much more gratifying and I'd like the chance to do that if it presents itself to me.
