According to the package tracking my copy is sitting in a distribution center an hour's drive away from me, apparently it got there at 1:30AM... it got here safe and sound and on time! Now I just have to wait for the 18th. I'm not getting excited yet though... not till I have it in my hands.
Maybe they will screw up and deliver it early? LOL

USPS hasn't updated their tracking since yesterday so it just says "In Transit, Arriving On Time", but it is scheduled to be delivered by 8 pm Monday night though hopefully it'll get delivered much earlier than that   |

tav7623 Yay mine literally went across the entire country before it got an update so don't worry. The 8PM thing is common in other packages I've seen it's just the latest that their delivery boys are out and about, not an expected time though depending on where you fall on their route who knows? My tracking info's updated the expected by date to the 17th... I could get it 24 hours early, not gonna celebrate and jinx it yet though.

Still haven't gotten a tracking email, but it's probably because mine is a bit weird using the workaround address the Post Office uses for P.O. box holders to receive packages in case a private carrier is used.

What I'm surprised about is that there aren't any reviews up yet from major guys like IGN, Gamespot or anyone else for that matter. Normally at least something should be up since it's only a day before release.

saberwolf94Either they don't have it, or they are respecting the don't release by date. Most major places respect those sort of rules cause there's no real advantage to them to betray that trust in the long run.

A lack of early reviews can send a bad signal to potential buyers. Sometimes it's a red-flag that a game's in a bad state upn release. Maybe they didn't have time, or figured most "professional" reviews wouldn't understand the genre like that guy from gamespot last year.

ovenkittyYea thats true but Bloodstained has had 4 years of advertisements fortunately, I've never heard anyone say they were not at all interested in this game cept for people throwing a tantrum about something. Angel has said that they aren't worrying to much about getting review copies out so that they can keep working on it right up to the release day. Nothing that can be done about it at this point anyways, so hope for the best.

We're talking about reviews here, major review sites usually have video reviews a few days or at least a day before the game is officially out. As a backer I'm getting the game anyway I just wanted to see some reviews for the heck of it, out of curiosity. |

saberwolf94 I think it was gamespot. Someone who played the E3 demo last year was gripping the game, complaining about the visuals, (which may have been valid), but also the lack of combos and stuff like that.

The "don't release by date" I was referring too is in reference to the revue itself not the game, when a company gives out copies for review purposes they will ask that the review not come out until a specific date. That maybe before or after the games release date. |
