I mean, I am not one to tell people their jobs, or anything, but there is a reason why websites have mods, admins and other workers to deal with constant disuptions of the peace, flaming, and whatnot.
Even the garbage forums at gamefaqs will quickly shut you down, if you keep being disruptive with such immature beligerance.
This needs to be a nice quiet chill place for us to discuss things calmly and rationally. to just be chill, ya know?

@bloodymiri
I don't know the rules for Kickstarter but I would assume that backers are afforded greater leeway in saying whatever the hell they please and what not while posting on projects they backed I don't even know if the official's CAN ban anyone, I know you can't post on Kickstarter unless you actually backed the project through Kickstarter.

Yeah. At these forums we definitely put a lot of work into ensuring everyone can have a nice, chill time, and I'd say we've done a pretty good job of that while also allowing space for complaints and criticism. Kickstarter, on the other hand...one of the problems with it is that it's quite difficult to moderate comments effectively, or even add people to the discussion--I backed for 500 dollars, but since I did so on Paypal, I've never been able to participate in them.

Sounds more like you dodge a bullet with that one. I was only able to back via slacker backer, so I can't post there, either.
As to this site, I have had to add at least 4 constantly negative nay sayers to my block list so I no longer see their posts reeeeeing to the sky.
I just can't handle that sort of thing, online or elsewere.

^Buddy, I am sure you are a cool dude, but please space those sentences out better next time, ok? Wall of text.... Done. Considered it originally, and usually do, but I was trying to do a quick post and didn't want to cause any confusion about two separate macro points ( Steelbook vs. Kickstarter as a whole). Was going for more of a "block quote" format there, in case someone quickly wanted one topic versus the other. But yeah, this will make it easier on the eyes.

Well the KS comments didn't use to suck ass like the recent ones. They were quite nice just a while ago.Though, honestly Kickstarter's comment system is incredibly basic and kind of archaic anyway.

I decided to stay away from looking at the comments on the kickstarter site after reading some of the comments. So I'm sticking to only reading comments here as they aren't as toxic.

Yän These things come in waves, if you look at some of the yellow roses post histories you can see that alot of them only chime in when something the don't like happens, and other more vocal souls wait for announcements to cause a fuss. I've noticed the same thing in other places like Kickstarter, when there is an announcement the next couple days are people venting their disappointments, often times in a civil and productive manner but it's also the time that the loud and proud cry SCAM!! and let slip the posts of class action lawsuits (but never follow through)

Even the garbage forums at gamefaqs will quickly shut you down, if you keep being disruptive with such immature beligerance. This needs to be a nice quiet chill place for us to discuss things calmly and rationally. to just be chill, ya know? We always have been thus, with only very rare spikes otherwise that come with sudden surges of activity. 2-3 ever maybe? To be fair though, "being disruptive" is a hard thing to moderate for when we want to and have tried our best to not silence voices whether they're positive or negative. No sensible criticism will be shot down here, and we permit anger and general discontent too, but only to a point. That "point" is a rough thing to define, and generally until now we haven't much had to define it either though. It's funny, because at baseline all the while before, we were accused of being a positivity echo chamber for the game while the above has always been our policy. That perception was only because it was so unusual that we had someone post negative things, and at times Mike and myself had nearly encouraged it to avoid looking like "shill forum" as it seemed to be at first glance ;p This place is official and has been for years, but it's still fan-run, and in the best interest of the game's grassroots nature and all fans having their voice, we intend to keep it this way - I still trust that we as a community and as a whole can talk freely about how we feel without policing negativity. It's just the right thing, imo, but we always keep a watchful eye on conduct and intent.

^being negative once in a while, as long as it's not flaming board members, devs, site workers, or Iga, does not bother me, but that other stuff needs to go as soon as it pops up.
It's like going into a building and yelling FIRE! and sitting back and getting off on the chaos that ensues.

purifyweirdshard The way some forums and subreddits do it is that when a particular subject starts getting spammed too much in multiple threads, they create a stickied megathread and restrict conversation about said topic to that thread alone. It allows conversation to continue for those who want to participate without degrading the signal-to-noise ratio for everyone else. I think that in some cases, these update threads should be exempt from that as long as the update itself is relevant to the topic(and no, not getting new information that you wanted to see in the update doesn't constitute relevancy), but I do think that such an action is warranted here in some cases. I don't need this place to be a hug box or anything; we've had disagreements on this forum in the past. But when some people keep spamming the same comments about the same topic in every thread - especially when they are doing so for the explicitly stated purpose of provoking a response - it brings down the community for the rest of us. It is my opinion that we are well past the point of something needing to be done about it. Suggestions and light warnings have both been given to individuals, but the problem could more cleanly be solved by simply implementing and enforcing rules common to other forums without targeting any one poster. Just a quick "hey, we've noticed this subject coming up a lot, and in order to keep things more on topic, we're creating a thread for that. Please move all conversation of that nature over there for now." and keep it stickied while it's still relevant and being discussed. I understand the desire not to be seen as censoring, and to let all opinions have an equal place in the community, but if no moderation or organization is performed at all, you risk having the opposite problem, where the people just wanting to discuss the game in a casual environment leave or go to lurk mode because the place is perceived to be one giant gripe fest. You've already seen some posts to that effect in this very thread. It's not too far from there until the place is basically little different than the KS comment section, just with the most venomous elements blunted a bit.

Absolutely, we've done that in the past with Vepar's situation. Probably will happen again
I'm going to somewhat take the risk in hopes that we never get there re: KS comments: the sequel. If that happens, or even approaches it, changes will have to be made, yes. At baseline it's unlikely as KS comments have zero even *possibility of* moderation available. For now, I hope that everyone can just heed my earlier warnings and advice and we move ahead. To a certain degree, if a current "gripe fest" is unpleasant, it should perhaps be treated by the user as a spoilers situation. I recognize I'm setting us up for a hard balance to maintain, but we've always been a great community and I have that faith in us to at least influence better outcomes.

Very good update. How many damned times am I going to play this game? The more important question should be: On how many platforms am I going to play this game? The big day.. errr night is almost there...

One is enough fer me. The big thing I'm genuinely considering: do I want to blow a day off in the middle of the week or just come in bleary-eyed and loaded with caffeine?

Question Angel-Corlux What happens if we backed for a japanese physical copy but reside elsewhere? Will these shipments also be delayed? Will the japanese physical copies include the day one patches on disc/cart? A reply from either of you would be deeply appreciated. Question Angel-Corlux Even a we'll have to get back to you is better than silence. Would anyone here give me any (serious) advice on how to get my questions answered? Thanks in advance.

So regardless of where you live, the Japanese physical version will be delayed getting to you.

Why not both, first blow the first day off and the day after..do the other.
