Kickstarter Update #85 - Release approaches / New Playable

I'm definitely hoping there will be separate storylines.

I'm just going to completely avoid this site until at least a week after I beat the game. Hopefully by then we're only talking about content I've seen and gushing or theorizing as friends and fans.

Yeah, you don't said the word fact, or that your opinion is a fact, sorry for the off-topic. Also, it's fine to disagree or even hate the game, because, well, it's your opinion and your personal tastes, not everything is for everyone, and so on.

But yeah, seriously if this forum thread was bad (which it kinda was sometimes), the kickstarter comments are like a Bosch hell painting turned real. I immediately noticed that after seeing the update and reading through some of the first comments. I then vowed never to return to that place again .__.

Oh and by all means, whatever you do, don't go to the steamcommunity forums if you want to keep your day nice.

It's a shame, the community surrounding this game has been super nice and constructive for the longest time and that seems to change a bit at the moment, mostly due to a few extremely loud and unreasonable individuals.

I've been one of the "unnice" ones in the past and I'm sure I'll continue to be one in the future occasionally. (Though I hope not THAT bad) I legit have no trouble accepting that people are miffed and unhappy with the decision and happy to work to a compromise even if I don't think there needs to be one, (as far as the exclusive content situation goes I don't feel there needs to be one nor could there be an acceptable one found) but when it gets to the point that your just blasting the same argument that has been disproven or that you yourself cannot prove and are being vitriolic (my word for the day) for the sake of being an asshole I lose any sympathy or respect for that side of the argument.

Am happy that 505 and Sony were nice enough to give me the theme and I'll try for the steelbook for my collection, am excited about playing as Zangetsu in the game I've always been curious about him as you can see from my newish avatar and love David Hayter's voice work, am hoping they keep the 3rd character secret, I wanna uncover some things for myself when I get the game. I'm curious how the retro levels and classic levels are gonna be implemented, will they make some sort of notice that one of the bosses will be the "extra" boss (not that it really matters they could literally pick any boss besides the IGA boss) and who will be the boss/bosses for Boss Revenge and will there be any future expansions on the game and how will they be implemented. I'm really hoping that the IGA superboss and whipsword are not a disconnected part of the game and castle, like maybe if you don't have the DLC there is a barrier preventing you from going past it and not just a completely separate thing from game and plot as I'd love to see IGA become a recurring superboss in the series.

Mostly I just wanna hurry up and play the game.

I'd definitely like to see the series (and yes, it shall be a series) no longer need Kickstarting in the future. The campaign was an incredible thing when it launched. It was a new experience, and it was truly amazing to watch all these goals met so quickly. It was awesome to see the videos of IGA answering questions. Those early days were the greatest.

I doubt that we can duplicate that enthusiasm and experience with a future Kickstarter. I do want IGA to have the freedom that he deserves, so that he may continue sharing his great games with us. I don't think that he needs thousands of inexperienced opinions telling him how to do that!

*I'm with crazyec24 in not being interested in the steelbook case. Those things are usually too clunky for my tastes, and we're talking about a case to hold a physical game that doesn't even have all the content loaded on it. I can see why people who payed $100+ might want the bonus of it, but otherwise, I think it's better off enticing people/getting attention at retail, because this game still has some work to do with those of us who didn't back it.
