But in all seriousness and not to "inflame" the conflict A big part of the Switches chunk of the sales is simply because people want to play it on their newest/coolest system, if Bloodstained was coming out on Playstation 5, and Xbox0.1/3 (Or whatever name it will have) They would undoubtedly have a big chunk of the sales. In any event the more sales regardless of the system preference the better.

Another tidbit on this, apparently since the Switch consoles were locked in a cabinet for security, they were overheating and at risk for failure. We're fortunate one didn't just outright blow at the event with Bloodstained getting blamed for it.
I hope the negative press attention for it doesn't cause any problem waves, since apparently hardware was a concern.

Doom 2016 overheated and murdered my almost 4 year old PS4 last fall... first game I installed and played when I got my PS4 Pro replacement? DOOM!!! Don't blame the game for going beyond the limits of the hardware!

I love how people are so in-depth at speculating the performance issues and expecting it to either be fixed or be left as is on the Switch while blueskull is abrupt and simply says "no problem, is only a demo". That's a tl;dr of what I wanna say right now. I am awfully optimistic that Bloodstained will be 100% pristine on launch. |

But, Koji Igarashi said in a interview that his inspiration for Symphony of the Night was The Legend of Zelda and not Metroid. Vampire Killer and Simon's Quest have non-linear progression, backtracking and items and abilities that you must get in order to advance further in the game. Also, there are Metroid predecessors that shares some of its features and design philosophies like: - Xanadu: Dragon Slayer II - Pitfall II - Brain Breaker (Considered the first Metroidvania) - Montezuma’s Revenge - Zork: The Great Underground Empire (Non-linear text adventure with backtracking) - Jet Set Willy - The Sacred Armor of Antiriad And many others. Obviously, all of this arguments and claims are pretty debatable, but I consider all this games as "Proto-Metroidvanias." |

First video of Bloodstained was underwhelming while the latest footage I've seen (Nintendo Direct) looked amazing!
By the way: as far as I know, input lag is usually not a performance issue.
Seing those sales numbers for Curse of the Moon in above posts, I'll trust they will finalize a propper Switch port.

What do you mean by “Sony style ruins Castlevania”? May I remind you that arguably the best CV game of all time continues to this day to not be playable on any Nintendo console? Symphony of the Night is playable on PS1, PS2, PS3, PS4, PSP, Vita, PSTV, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and even the freaking Sega Saturn. Still not on Nintendo. Stop generalizing gamers by their console of choice. That’s be like saying “everyone who doesn’t speak proper English is dumb” which would be both untrue and a stupid generalization. |
