Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night is going to be released in 2019. The game started as a kickstarter back in 2015, where few people believed it would actually happen. Ups and Downs, some years has passed, but here we are. Bloodstained has a launch window, three demos (two to the general public) and a window release trailer. We are getting closer and closer to the game's release. Bloodstained suffered severe backlash after the cancellation of some plataforms and some decisions, specially delays. I think it is time to praise the game and the development team. And this is what this thread is. I wanted to say some words to the team, IGA, Mana, Question Angel-Corlux, to the forum team, such as purifyweirdshard, XombieMike gunlord500 and i'm sorry if i forgot some others. Anyone else is free to send their praising and compliments at this thread too, if it wants. Here goes:
I met Castlevania games on Super Castlevania 4, on the SNES. After that, i played a ton of games and eventually discovered Symphony of the Night. I fell in love with that game. The soundtrack, atmosphere and that gorgeous artwork (one of the reasons that made me want to learn how to draw, something i didn't managed to do it yet, but i'm trying). The Castlevania gameplay and lore caught with me completely. I was entangled by the game's timeline, plot and overly fun gameplay. I played practically all of them, specially those made by IGA. I never had a idol in my life. I never really admired a celebrity, that never crossed my mind until i realized how much i loved that franchise and learned who was behind it's renovation that made me love it: Koji Igarashi. He became the first, and only person i ever considered to be a fan of. Unfortunately, the company-that-shall-not-be-named had other plans, and my most beloved game series in existance met it's sad end. In 2015, Bloodstained showed up on Kickstarter and my passion for Igavanias was renewed. And here we are, close to launch. I'm really glad to have met this community and how much i learned here. I'm glad Bloodstained is "close to exist". It isn't Castlevania, but it is the best we can have at the moment. The gameplay feels awesome, graphics looks cool, the "Igavania feel" is there for anyone to feel it. As a completionist, i'm really amazed on how much stuff the game will have. I'm really excited to play it and delve into it's plot, castle and that feel i only had when playing Igavanias. I just wanted to thank IGA and the dev team for the amazing work and i'm glad that, even if i'm not really a backer, i was able to contribute with something. Keep up the good work guys. You are crafting something big, and i really hope it becames bigger. That's all folks!

Mega-Dittos!
Would like to express my gratitude to all of Team Bloodstained for persevering in the face of adversity and ensuring we get a good game even when this involved making tough choices.
Would also like to extend my greatest thanks to Way Forward for their involvement in the game to include the occasional "bug squashing:"
It's still a little early but I think everyone on this board knows that this game is the real deal, unlike that other game which was also funded via Kickstarter.

I'm more excited for the chance to play the game when it's finally released than I was before, for sure.
And yes, I must extend praise to the hardworking developers who've been busy making Bloodstained a reality.

Has it already been 3 and half years since the kickstarter (ended on June 12 2015)? We are almost there people. The return of Iga is almost upon us.

Thank you Pure Miriam for all the work you've done on collecting, dissecting and asking questions about all the game's content over the years. It's clear that the game is very important to you, and it's very important to me too

I like how pure spoke about his first experience with Castlevania so I will talk about my first experience too... I am older then many on here (I just hit a milestone last week that makes me feel really old)... so my first experience of Castlevania was with Simon Belmont and the original Castlevania... I was too young and not very good at games so I "deemed" it too hard and THAT game started the confusion of hearts not healing you hahah... Castlevania was always apart of my childhood even if I didn't play it. Who remembers Captian N the Game Master? Simon and that funky looking Megaman lol... anyway I didn't like the games too much during the NES era. I loved the art style and graphical tricks of Super Castlevania IV but still not my type of game.
Finally, we get to the Symphony of the Night... the art style and game mechanics and (to me) the most important thing, exploration!!! this game blew my mind the varied weapons and the hidden secrets of certain weapons... or little details like eating peanuts! you could feel all the love that was poured into this masterpiece. many people say the other games like AoS, DoS, and OoE were more refined which I agree but I think the hidden things you could do int SotN were better (my opinion, not here to contest what game is "better")... but even if the other games were not as "magical" to me they were still very fun and the refinement of the gameplay was so freaking awesome!!! I wanted to see what was next... then Lord of Shadows came out... then part two came out... then nothing... then I accepted to live the rest of my life without a true Igavania forever...
THEN this kickstarter came out with a video of Iga turning into mist and bats than when he smashed that wineglass!!! I was so hyped!!! There was gonna be another igavania a true successor spiritual successor to the type of Castlevania I loved so much (yes I cried and I am not afraid to admit it... to a bunch of strangers I may never meet, EVER haha).
We've had ups and downs but to me mainly ups... THIS is the first blog or online community I have EVER been apart of. I'm not a social person AT ALL... but this place was friendly and I posted my thoughts and people responded (usually positively)... I have since fallen off posting but I still enjoy reading the posts here and being part of a community, so I would love to thank XombieMike , purifyweirdshard , and gunlord500 for making this a safe and usually positive community... It is even made better have people involved in the making of the game responding to us... like Mana , Question , Angel-Corlux , and benjuddge . and finally, thank you Pure Miriam and LeoLeWolferoux and a few other that I consider friends on here...
I personally have not seen that many missteps from Iga and his team besides the linux/mac thing... I feel bad for them but seriously other than that there have not been many major missteps (in my opinion)... I am proud to be a backer and I've been hyped for this game every time I see something new about it!
We are almost there and it has been a pleasure to have walked this journey with many of you... so until this game comes out I stand proud to be one of The Army of the Night!

Thank you all for making this place so welcoming to backers and fans like me. Thank you for having insightful posts to read and threads I feel comfortable participating in. That also means I'm thanking you, Pure Miriam ! Thank you to all the mods and admins for going above and beyond for the integrity of the community, whether here, in Discord, or at the Kickstarter page. Your hard work is really, really appreciated. That is a fact. But most importantly, thank you IGA-sama and his developers and staff for all doing what you have done: create, develop, and continuously refine THE game we all have wanted to play for such a long time! All of you are genuinely good people in my book It has indeed been four (4!!) years in the making, but here we are: Bloodstained Ritual of the Night has a 2019 release date! Hype!
So my introduction to the Castlevania franchise was with Castlevania II: Simon's Quest on the NES. My parents bought me an NES at around the time CV2 was released here in North America. And thanks to one of the few Nintendo magazines I owned at the time, I got really hyped for the game! And so with that I had successfully convinced a relative of mine to buy me a copy. I remember CV2 as being really special to young me. It had the music, the relatively-new day-night cycle, the RPG elements that my young mind can't totally figure out (I didn't know what an RPG is until playing Dragon Warrior 1 a few years later, but I digress), townfolk offering some odd-sounding advice, and a really powerful ending theme. This game rightly earned Konami my deep respect, and I have since been enjoying almost all of the NES/Famicom games either developed by or published by Konami or under the Ultra name. And I can say that back then, despite always seeing Contra rented out every week at my nearby rental store, I always had the opportunity to pick up games like, say, Gradius or Life Force It was many years later until I played CV3, followed by CV1. I never really seriously played any other Castlevania game afterward until I picked up a used copy of SotN at an Electronics Boutique. I remember saying to myself "What's this? A 2D side-scrolling game for the Playstation? A console suited for teh 'revolutionary' 3D graphics???" Suffice it to say I've always been and still very much am a fan of the “cult classic” that is SotN And I very much look forward to playing my copy of Bloodstained once it arrives in the mail Truer statements cannot be said. The recent trailers have been epic. The hype is real. And red wine is my preference over white

Lots of excellent people working very hard, thanks for your kind words, we're doing our best to live up to them! This is my first KS, and I'm so excited I picked this one to fund. This will sound silly, but the main reason I purchased a GTX 1050Ti was because I wanted to play the beta backer demo at it's fullest potential. That's how much I am looking forward to this game's release.
