This is assuming Johannes is the second character (I know it is not official yet but whatever)
ok this is a very open poll, once you choose, you also have to say what kind of job you want them to have and if you choose one of the youths you have to say (boy/girl)
so mine is:
Wild youth girl
scientist (or steam punk knight)

I really want a character similar to alucard to be playable, Johannes seems like he will definitely be the 2nd playable character, all that leaves is Gebel. |

I can't figure out the riht words for the job and I will revisit this when the right words pop into my head.

It'd be awesome to have an older, mature woman as a 3rd character. Maybe she could be the leader of another guild? I don't want to believe that the Alchemist guild is the only group that delved in the unknown. If she is a leader of a guild, that'd be really cool to play as since she could have her own purposes for entering the castle for her (and her group's) benefit. This way it'd be nice to have a "Neutral" character be playable. Neither helping Miriam stop the castle, but at the same time she wouldn't try to help the inhabitants of the castle either. Just there for her own purposes/research/whatever.

When you say middle-aged/grizzled old man, what exactly do you have in mind? Would like Julius Belmont fall under the first and Morris Baldwin under the second? Aren't "Badass" and "Mature" woman redundant options? I also feel you're jumping the gun a bit, we still don't know the 2nd player character, you're just assuming its Johannes  Where's the loli vampire option? Hopefully nowhere |

When I saw the Mature Woman option, I just thought of Samus from the Metroid series (not including Other M...) Although she could fall into both the Mature and Badass categories. Zelda could also fall into both (with her Shiek persona).
Mostly I just want the characters to feel very different from each other, and could possibly have different paths for them to go through the castle for story/gameplay reasons. Maybe meet up every now and then. Maybe spar each other to test strengths. Miriam as a boss battle would be pretty cool hehe. As many have stated before, reality may not always meet expectations, but I'm excited to see what they say/hint about the other characters in the future updates.

How about a resident of the Castle that becomes a playable character? It does not have to be human in this case. It would be interesting to see a creature from the Castle see maybe the rebellion of the other characters and and see they do not blindly have to serve. This would put them in direct conflict with the main protagonist as he would need to quell any chance of rebellion. When fighting other monsters and bosses a monster would be able to have much more intimate exchanges as they would have history with another monster. I think it would be a better idea than a third human character. I think everyone loved Alucard so much because he was a vampire that rebelled and it opened up a whole new reason to have powers and reason to be fighting in the castle.
Just an idea.
