Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon REVEALED!

Wew, unexpected. From what I can see it seems fun enough, the soundtrack and gameplay are apparently spot-on. I wonder how big the game is, at least we don't have to wait that much to see for ourselves.

By the way, the artwork is way too diferent from what we have seen until now. Did they change it specifically for this game or what?

So, this is clearly a CV3 inspired game, quite heavily. They picked Alfred to be the Sypha expy while I think she's quite clearly a Belnades character (esp. Yoko vibes - from the church, uses magic including fire, runs a shop), and on top of that, her last name is Baldwin, which would complete the Circle of the Moon tribute here. Same acronym.

arg. I hope she's DLC or something. During the stream, I was hoping Gebel's portrait was her too, but nah...

   Clearly this type of game plays to Inti's strengths', and it's great to see them still involved with the project in this capacity.

This is perfect, since I've been wanting something closer to a Classicvania for quite a while. I started giggling like a loon when I saw all the Castlevania III influence.

This looks amazing in comparison to what I was expecting. I think it's really cool who they chose for the playable characters. Having Alfred and Gebel teamed up with Miriam and Zangetsu seems like an unlikely combination with what I've understood of the game so far. I wonder how much that will play into the Bloodstained game plot when the main game gets released. At this point I can't wait to start in on this one. I'm hoping that my schedule will allow for me to have some time when it comes out.

What a surprise! This is what I first saw when I woke up on Saturday morning, still can’t believe how this news came out unexpectedly with a release date so soon. It will definitely help to wait for the main game. This seems cool, with all of the characters and inspiration from CV3. At first, the levels seemed too bland and a bit too simple, I guess I would prefer if it was 16-bit inspired. The trailer would be much better without the cheesy male voice, though, this is what put me off. I am excited to play this so soon. I really want that art in high resolution, is it available yet?

I also want to know where this takes place in  the timeline. Since they said it's not a prequel it can't take place before Ritual of the Night and I really doubt it takes place after.
With this is mind I have a really bad feeling that they just made an 8-bit game with Bloodstained characters tacked on.....I hope this is not the case!

What scares me is that the ones who made the english trailer thought that using that tacky voice was a good idea!!

Hmm.. My money's on this (story) taking place in a slightly different timeline than RotN.

Anyway, this was a pleasant suprise (only 12 days away! :D)
