You forgot the most important thing for the construction of the room... the Skeleton Carpenter! yeah I just heard about that lol but I think there should be a familiar or some turned demons that should be the ones to build the rooms to your specs how was the topic brought up by fanservice? just wondering cause I started it. and I don't think I started it with any fanservice in mind... actually it stems from Iga's original idea to give Alucard a room. then came to fruition in HoD (not very well though)... so those two ideas, coupled with powerful consoles should equal a more fleshed out "room" idea... at least more fleshed out then what the two previous ideas could have ever hoped to be... so where is the fanservice? and the feeling of "dread and isolation" was never really part of the castlevania games (imo) it felt more like... gothic submersion (I guess) a person in a gothic setting kicking ass... I never felt "dread or isolation" in any of the iga games (imo) yeah and I was thinking of furniture too. Ones you could buy or make XD...

But there's always the the inevitable fanart to cover the fanservice department. As a side note, if Miriam gets a customizeable room that can be decorated instead of just a "room" room, should items discovered/placed in it carry over through multiple playthroughs? I think it'd be a nice touch to help players keep their progress and help make the game less grind-y .

I would think a room for Miriam is a great idea... hiding away in a part of Gebel's heart that still want's to keep Miriam safe.

- A throne to sit on. Add this and I'll fully support these ideas. I am totally okay with the throne but one does not simply seats on a throne without his red wine glass. The idea is good, this will make it litteraly majestic.

i love the idea of the customizable room, love even more the collectathon room, curious how theyd implement it cause itd be funny to try having a throne inside a fortress of beds and a badass bathing/sauna area >P

One thing that could be interesting is if Miriam's room affected the rest of the castle. Perhaps not the layout, but maybe enemy placement/power? For instance, if she put a grandfather clock in her room, maybe the enemies in the Clock Tower would be powered up, and so on. It could also be a place to store trophies you'd get for getting steam achievements and stuff

It would make sense as well because the castles was summoned by Grebel to give Miriam a place of her own so it makes sense that the save points would be her room.

I know that this game will be a metroidvania with some RPG elements, but when I read "make food" always returns on my mind the food system of Arx Fatalis. Ok, Arx Fatalis is a RPG game but would be awesome to see a complex food system where you can use ingredients and cook them for obtain a better food.

You guys took the words out of my mouth. A comfortable chair, alchemy table, familiar breeding, customization of said room, unlocking the means to do so over time, having to discover the room first, how the room would be an intentional(or unintentional) blind spot used as a safe haven, etc. The only thing I would add is alcohol. Have there be a bar with a ghost bartender handing her drinks. It would serve the same function as Alucard sitting in a chair and listening to the fairy familiar sing to him in the Saturn version.

Oh, this reminds me so much of Harmony of Dissonance and all the furniture you could get for this one room in the castle that Juste Belmont felt obligated to decorate. Perhaps you could upgrade furniture with items you find in and around the castle?

What if it was under her influence? For instance if she could cliam rooms after she has beaten the bosses lurking in them. Normally boss rooms stay empty after they are deafeated right why not make use of that at least with the indoor ones.
