Considering the kinda rocky launch (people are reporting hardware / software issues here and there) and there's like no "killer apps" on Switch other than Zelda, I'd choose saving my money for now.
I'm not into Splatton either so I might just wait for Super Mario Odyssey coming out.
EDIT: I'm now on PS4 (physical) and Steam version (digital).

Wow, this thread got derailed pretty badly. I didn't even expect that. But its still fun to read.
I was and still am of the opinion that the Switch is in a terrible state. It's like the 360 when they had all those red rings. So just an ew-y thing to get it for, when there are so many better ones. Laptops especially, since it has all the of good in it.

I was busy yesterday and didn't get a chance to comment, but imo the Switch news of BAD THINGS is mostly like any other hugely vocal thing on the internet, just like how fringe/absurd social issues get way more spotlight than they probably should. Just like Astaroth said earlier. It's also like how almost every user review of a product online that is not a paid or biased opinion and has anything at all to say is probably a 1-star lol. Because hey, if something is just "pretty good" or even just "great", why are you going to waste your time talking about it right? Unless moved by the negative emotions, they're probably not going to talk about a thing at all lol.
And of course there's all the people that spent money on x other thing and actually -can't- get y thing right now, so y thing is TRASH! X Thing for lyfe. Because it was my $400............. 
I'm sure it has a certain percent of issues. Not hearing a whole lot about "not working period", though, and Zelda is AMAZING from all indications. I understand and know this, and yet myself don't plan on getting one for at least a year or so. I can respect and like something without having to have it right now. I know that can't be a minority stance, but it damn sure feels like it some times with the internet, you know? lol.
Further regarding PC lol, I have to say that it bugs me that so often I hear the master race thing, but a whole lot of gaming articles I see look like this (screenshot from something from yesterday):
Never any "thanks!", "that's great", but there's ALWAYS the guys that are like "your game is trash unless it comes to PC". Not really. It's like the money thing above. You spent money on X, so poor Y =/
I'm thinking about getting Bloodstained on Switch eventually...it depends on how much I want a portable version. I only have a PS TV, so can't exactly take that everywhere re: Vita version heh

I have a switch and it's amazing. You should keep in mind that generally people posting online are almost always in the vocal minority and although you may be more exposed to their issues, complaining is easier than praising but it doesn't mean that everyone is having a negative experience. On top of that, Zelda. So yeah, I'd love to see Bloodstained on switch, that would be great. If you don't, that's fine too. Isn't it wonderful we all have options to match our opinions and preferences. |

Hoax!?  Dunno what you are talking about!  Day fucking one purchase. Ok. I explained this months ago but here goes. Bloodstained is very likely to be released on the Switch because Unreal Engine 4 officially supports the system. The point of using a game engine(like UE4) is that when you finished the development for the main platform(usually the PC), you're also automatically 95% done for any other platforms that are officially supported by that game engine(in this case the UE4 supports PS4, Xbox One, Switch) If the Switch is selling decently then there's no reason IGA won't release the Switch version. Wii U and Vita ports are another (big) story though. |

nintendo is not wrong, water distorts signals (i knew a couple that had an aquarium sitting above their router and they always had bad signal), masses of electrical cables can block signals, metal can absorb signals (now nintendo is also guilty of this because the left joycons printed antenna sits right next to the metal housing for the analog stick and that is causing some of the problems), and have you stopped to think about how many different signals are in your house and how they might interfere with each other? the wording is a little harsh but if turning off your wifi controlled singing fish with downloadable phone app makes your systems work better is it wrong to point out that that may be whats causing your interference? that whole FCC thing on consumer devices that states "this device must accept any interference from other sources" isnt there for shits and giggles
id give the new zelda a try if you get a chance, you might like it, especially if you like open world games ^^
and now back to semi patiently waiting on the announcement...

Yeah, wireless/Bluetooth signals don't travel through/around water so well or at all, so that's hardly a surprise or knock against anything.

Yay! Me to the rescue! I'm from Sweden and I just checked my Switch news feed. The image with all the indie games DOES NOT have Bloodstained on it. I can see that the titles around the Bloodstained title have been moved slightly to make room for a nice photoshop job.
Sorry to burst everyones bubble.
EDIT: I just read the entire thread and I think there must have been a mistake in the newsfeed. Someone put in Bloodstained in the image but then realized their mistake and removed it.
The newsfeed post with Bloodstained in it are posted 3/3 while the one I can view on the console is posted 4/3. So Bloodstained was on the newsfeed for one day before it got corrected.

lol, i have the same tile too (LOVE the switch is region free), and yeah its not there, however... Hey XombieMike , all I could say is that it wasn't a hoax, and that it did seem like some Switch users from Europe saw it in their news feed. We now know what happened internally and we'll have an official statement to the public as soon as we are ready. the leaked tile used in the initial story likely had incorrect info on it (captain obvious here, but backers have known for a while now through ks updates that bloodstained isnt slated for 2017 regardless of what consoles its coming out on, but not everybody else follows as close as we do) and therefore got pulled and replaced with the one without bloodstained which i didnt get until hours after this had all happened and mana had spoken on the story so were all waiting on the official announcment at this point whether it actually is or isnt coming to switch ^_^ sweet, looks like youre caught up, ill leave this here for people coming in later to see it |

I'm more interested in seeing how each version performs before deciding if I Switch (lol).
Some games deffo run great but some multiplatform games have been a bit worrisome. Hopefully they're just outliers.
I'd ask people to claim the problems seen so far for the Switch are just a 'vocal minority' to pay attention still. I don't think they're a sign that the system is complete crap but there definitely has been some problematic things.
Also, Kale, might be worth not poopoohing people's choices when it comes to gaming. Even if there's some problematic things happening the concept of the Switch is still Hella neat. And no amount of crowing about how good PCs are will make Nintendo stuff hit them.
Disclaimer: I just try to own everything. :V

LOL, it's just my first reaction. Don't pay it any mind, just how I am, I guess. I agree that the concept is cool, if for nothing else is because you have a split controller maybe? I always wanted a split but no one ever made one.

Any news on the 2nd version / pro version of Switchtendo? At the moment people are scratching their tables when docking. Easy fix if they release a new module, that are a bit more expensive.
Do not put any stickers or protection film on the tablet, since it will be heated and not fun to clean afterwards.
If you are saving your money for the Switch, be patient and buy the second version, or third.

You did see Mana stopping by and basically confirming its true right? XombieMike asked if the pic was a hoax and Mana said it wasn't. Announcement coming when they're ready and thats where it ended but she said indeed it was real. Bloodstained will come to Switch, its just a matter of time for they to announce it. Now as to what that would mean to the WiiU version thats an entirely different matter but I wouldnt hold my breath on that one still coming. |
