best news I've herd in a long time. I'm planning to save up for a switch soon as I get a new job. BoTW is a game I intend to get for it, now this. All I need is Bayonetta 3 and SSB4-NS with a Story Mode and I'm set.

Someone seemed to get a little too excited and thought it was part of the 2017 lineup, though.
Pretty sure Update #50, alongside what else it'll mention, will reaffirm that Bloodstained is planned for a 2018 release.

Hey XombieMike , all I could say is that it wasn't a hoax, and that it did seem like some Switch users from Europe saw it in their news feed. We now know what happened internally and we'll have an official statement to the public as soon as we are ready. Thanks for getting back to us! This answers our questions It's definitely nice to see the team on top of things and making sure everyone else is informed, this sort of clarity is just what we're looking for in a Kickstarter

Aahhh... I would buy that cartridge just for the sentimental value, Enkeria Get a cheap cartridge, change the sticker. EZ. But Gimp / Photoshop it, is EZIER. And I agree.. It would make a cool piece for the shelf or as a token of some type.. jewelry or something. Slightly modified, it would make an excellent case for the Switch version of Bloodstained.

All I need is Bayonetta 3 and SSB4-NS with a Story Mode and I'm set. I'm still planning on getting mine for the PS4, but the Switch would easily be my second choice. I already have Breathe of the Wild, HOWEVER I DON'T have a Switch Yet due to Nintendo pulling the usual bullshit where they produce a very limited stock of something, so that people who DIDN'T pre-order have to wait five-ever to even see one available online. *Sigh* Nintendo. Gotta love 'em.

PC MASTER RACE!
No seriously. Get it, put it on a laptop, and play with a controller. Best of all worlds. Portability, controller controls for 2d gameplay, and good graphics.*

Portability, controller controls for 2d gameplay, and good graphics.* Okay, normally I don't call people out for opinions, and I'm getting it for PC as well, but why are you even posting this? This isn't a thread asking what version of the game people are getting, and it isn't a thread discussing which version is better. This, and your earlier post are just crapping on a topic others are interested in. I mean, I would actually understand if you were posting in complaint about the possibility of the Wii U version being cancelled for this(though let's repeat: nothing is official yet), but the existence of the Switch version and other people's desire to purchase or pledge funds for it has absolutely no bearing on the PC version(which isn't in any danger at all) or your ability to enjoy it. How difficult is it just not to post in topics that don't interest you?

I don't think that's what they're doing, and I suppose I would fall under crime as well for stating I'm getting the PS4 version in an irrelevant thread, but I think the main point of their post was to say "Man...this Switch/Wii U drama...that PC version is looking pretty hot and tempting, amiright?" I don't think their posts are meant to be malicious towards console users.

LeoLeWolferoux I'd be more likely to give him the benefit of the doubt for his second post in the topic if his first wasn't "ew."

Guys, the best way to handle posts that seem troll like to you (even if they may not really be) is to ignore them. The bait gets nibbled and the thread changes tone and gets derailed. Edit: You know, Scars Unseen... One of the tougher things for me is balancing free speech vs negativity and choosing when to refute vs when to ignore. Despite what I said above being my personal preference from experience, I want to make it clear that publicly refuting someone is still perfectly OK. If Kale were to review the rules, they would see the section on spam. A one word reply of "ew" doesn't ads value to a conversation. All in all, it's no big deal in any case. There are just the things I feel I am responsible for. Sometimes I think my commentary on this stuff hurts more than helps. If anyone has a problem with a post, please remember you can report it instead of publicly arguing, but I suppose public arguing has its place. Suppressing speech is suppressing thoughts, and thoughts will boil over. It's better to refute and use logic to progress a conversation in many cases. All said though, the Internet often shows its best not to feed the trolls.

You're not infringing on any of our free speech rights by deleting or editing posts you don't like or deem inapropiable. We dont all have to like it but the right to free speech only shields us from the government arresting us for our views. It doesnt mean that your website must tolerate or host posts you may think are unfit.

This line of thinking makes moderators abusive and users afraid to speak out their minds.

No Aztec is right, your speech isn't protected on a private forum. Using the internet in recent years has shown me that people don't have a good grasp of what free speech actually is. They somehow think its carte-blanche to say whatever they want to however they want wherever they want without any repercussions. Moderation on a forum isn't an impediment on free speech and while it is true that over-moderation can stifle and smother a community, a lack of moderation is how you end up with the various cesspools on the internet (that I won't mention). It's about striking a balance and that often is influenced by the size of the forums and the topics it will frequently tackle. As the official forums of the Bloodstained game (and what I imagine will be the jumping off part for the entire Bloodstained fandom once the game launches proper), you would want a site like this to be well moderated. THANKFULLY, 99% of people who post here are pretty awesome and don't regularly post sketchy stuff so the forum has only needed a very, very light touch and I hope it continues that way. That said, if someone is really being out of line, their free speech isn't being stifled if they got a smackdown. ANYWAY, to get back on topic - it will be nice to have a new Igavania that you can BOTH play on the big screen and take with you on the go (yes I know the Vita exists but I figure most people aren't buying a new Vita nowadays). It was already mentioned that update #50 wasn't supposed to cover this development but I do wonder if they will now make a statement at the same time (maybe the reason the update seems a bit delayed?). I think the next update was supposed to be an Ask IGA so that should be cool either way

Just because it's "legal" for moderators to remove whatever post they feel like doesn't mean it's good for the forums. I understand a public forum is different from the government censoring free speech. I don't know if you're being patronizing on purpose or if thats even directed at me... but what part of what I said makes you think I don't know about free speech?

That wasn't directed at you estebant, I was making a general statement of my experience interacting and watching people online. Also yes, removing posts or users from a forum can be to the benefit of an entire forum. It is often a healthy thing to do in the appropriate circumstances. The examples are innumerable but rather than derail this topic further I'd suggest you just PM me if you want to talk about this more. This is a "Bloodstained on Switch" topic and I fear I may have taken it a bit too far off course. My apologies to the other posters >_<

Hmmm...I suppose this is that 'derailing' thing XombieMike mentioned...huh... ANYWAY. Back to the original thread...I would love to get it for the switch, however I think the PS4 will still be my platform of choice. Who knows, that might change in the near future. Only time will tell. But I'm glad that Bloodstained will have found its place in the end. CONFLICT RESOLVED. LET'S ALL HUG THIS SHITE THE F@$% OUT...! <3
