How they work and seeing one in action would be cool. We don't need to see all that they do.... An animation of them behind the character and it's "PERSONALITY" showing. Plus some information on how they operate would be fantastic. Hmmmmm~ Maybe they act differently depending on Miriam's current status? (IE switching tactics to defense when Miriam's HP gets low/Miriam becomes endangered)

The DS game's familiars felt more like an afterthought. They felt more like abilities than little demon friends I agree completely. Familiars have never really been that great. The DS and Gameboy Vanias were even worse because you usually had to give up a more useful slot. I'm glad Bloodstained is more like CoD and SoTN where familiars get their own section in the menu.

I like the style of the enemies, its like Iga is taking classic Metroidvania monsters like the harpy and shifting them with an unique desing and color palette and an original name.

Nice find!
It does look like they used the design of the fanart, with some slight modifications and different textures. If this Shovel Knight is going to be in the game I assume with will add the shoulder pads and the horns and simply re texture it.

I wonder what it's Shard will be? Perhaps it will utilize a similar jump-boost ability to Shovel Knight's "Shovel Drop", or it will simply enable Miriam to "dig" up items from certain treasure piles.

I believe, fatihG that this will be case, a "almost pallete swap" since it would be easier. It would be awesome, Galamoth if Shovel Knight's Shard would be a White one, a Skill Shard, that is not a progression ability, but would help find secrets. Something like, holding down and attack for five seconds, would make Miriam take a shovel and dig the ground and we could find items that way
