This afternoon there was some joking around in the shoutbox with butt-related puns involving Miriam, but then it got me thinking about more serious butt-related issues in Bloodstained.
Miriam and Gebel's curse is supposed to cover the entire body with crystals, right? Well, what about the butt? How does that fit in?
Are there any crystals on Miriam's butt since they pop up all over her body? And if so, how many? Will there be a backer poll deciding this like there were with the shaders, even if we'll probably never see it in the actual game? And do Miriam's poofy shorts make her butt look bigger than it actually is?
Is Gebel's butt is completely crystallized since he's in a more advanced stage of the curse? If it is, can he still poop? And if he can, does he poop out more crystals instead of pooping actual poop? Or does the crystal curse shut down bodily functions relating to human waste by the time it reaches the butt?
And what about Johannes? He's a scientist-y dude. Has he done research on butts, or does he have any desire to do so? And if he has, will there be a conversation with him in-game that fleshes out the Bloodstained world by revealing how the crystal curse relates to butt-related anatomy? He also strikes me as someone with one of those tiny butts like Hank Hill from King of the Hill did.
Zangetsu has a prosthetic arm due to his injuries in the demon war, but is it possible he also got injured in the butt? Or is he the only one of the currently revealed characters in Bloodstained that has a normal, regular, butt? And if so, does he prefer boxers, briefs, boxer-briefs, or go commando because of his military background? Maybe he'll surprise us all and he'll be wearing a banana hammock for comedic effect, just like Abra Kadabra in that one episode of the DC animated series Young Justice (streaming on Netflix).
And then there's all the monsters and bosses. How many of them will have human butts? How many of them will have unique monster butts? Will there be a more advanced, stronger version of morte that walks upright and has a proper butt that's as firm as one can properly get when you're made of mud? Does Vepar have a human butt, or does she have one of those mermaid tails instead?
I'm sure there's lots of other butt-related questions regarding Bloodstained out there, but please, let's remember to keep things classy as we discuss the butts.

Tossing out my two cents.
It's 3d models, so butts are going to be seen officially or unofficially.
Artistically, crystals will form where they can be seen.
Realistically they would form on the exterior prior interior.
However due to the nature of fantasy, one could consider if the nature of the crystal assumes control of the body as a solid or if it is more gelatinous prior death. If it is whole chunks of flesh or merely skin/covering surface. If chunks, it'll go for whatever, butt included (which would emphasize pain).
Or if it kills what transforms. If any part of the interior is crystallized, it'll kill the host faster than anything. If it behaves normally (gelatinous, or exterior forming) then it may allow organs to function until progression assumes most of the host organs/body.
If former, butt, colon, genitalia, etc will all be subject and be present as long as the host lives with the curse. Of later, they will still be subject, but functional (with some issues I'd assume) as long as the organ isn't subjected to the point of encapsulation.

If butts are crystalized. And the insides are crystalized. Whatever they eat (!) will become crystalized.
So I guess it balance things out. But hopefully you get a crystalized butt before you get crystalized poo.

I'm going to give my two cents at this absurdly important discussion:
CRYSTALS CONSISTENCY
If you take a look even on Miriam's and Gebel's artwork, you can see that the crystal looks painted in there, so, they aren't really hard as a rock, they are glued and adapted to their skin. The only crystal that doesn't work like that is the one on Miriam's back, that actually grow out to form a flower, so, it has some volume. If you think about that, if Miriam's body reaches the same level of Gebel's, yes, their whole body, butts and genital parts included, will be crystalized. But i'm pretty sure nothing would really change, regarding body functions, because the crystal is clearly soft and gelatinous like skin.
If you consider the game's official artwork in a super consistent way, and not only as the artist's personal choices, hair probably falls down due to the body being crystalized, since Gebel has no hair on his chest or anywhere else besides his head.
We can also think about the fact that, even considering it is a curse, it was created to serve as a beacon for demons to be attracted, and gave both Miriam and Gebel, supernatural powers. As such, it probably has some kind of safe measures to not completely destroy the host or block his body completely.
MIRIAM'S SITUATION
Miriam's crystalization was halted, so, only some parts of her are crystalized. The curse seems to start crystalizing at random spots, until starts to cover the user's whole body. Miriam has crystals on her legs, so, it is most probably that her bottom already has crystals on it.
If you look at a certain site and seek for Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night on it, you can see some adult fanart showing how that would look, by the way...
GEBEL'S SITUATION
I think the same about Gebel. His body is almost fully crystalized, including his behind and his genital parts, but the crystals aren't hard, they are soft and gelatinous, so, it must probably works like normal skin.
If that wasn't true, Gebel wouldn't be able to move his arms or even walk properly. The crystals (if weak) would break, or (if strong) would force him to simply not move around. Think about it: if Gebel's legs and arms are fully covered and the crystals are hard, he wouldn't be able to move or would move absurdly ankward.
ZANGETSU'S SITUATION
I'm pretty sure Zangetsu's only lost his arm, so, yes, he probably has a fully functional behind.
VEPAR'S SITUATION
If you consider what we can see from her, and some fanarts out there, i'm pretty sure Vepar has a huge tentacle-like body or a mermaid tail underneath it's second mouth.

Pure Miriam So much work, so much poetry, so much fanfiction, so much absolutely unofficial/probably fallacious character data... It is a completely indissociable mix of sheer awe in its purest form and shock of the greatest importance that invaded me when I briefly read that set of paragraphs. I am glad I am not haunted by utterly graphic thoughts when reading such comments or I guess I'd end sleepless. I pity those who have this condition. Is that all to say on this?
