When trying to launch it do you get any error message at all? Do you get an error in steam? Do you get an error after the game window has launched? Try to be more specific, help us help you! =] I get the unknown error message whether I launch from steam or the Windows icon. Also I have none of the mentioned programs that might mess up the game. Do I have to disable ALL computer protection in order to play this game?

Visual glitch: Miriam's 'ghosting' effect happens on the weapons she is holding as well. Would make more sense to have these weapons at like they are part of Miriam instead of them being considered separate objects. omegavanguard Is your machine a 32bit one? Afaik it wont work unless it is a 64 bit machine.

Temporary freezing(for about 5 seconds) in outdoor environment and cutscene without Aero turned off. Fixed when turned on. I already know this is an issue, just given them specs to see if they can find a pattern.

I found a bug earlier, but screenshot is unavailable as I am posting this at work.
I was repeatedly using the demon fire spell (attached to RT) when Miriam got stuck in that pose. This caused her to only cast the fire to the left; which was the direction she was facing when it started. I could still attack and use the Y spell to the right.
Pausing and then exiting the game fixed this issue. I will post a video later showing the bug if I am able to replicate it.

Just a minor visual bug I think. The shadow is too far away from the character. (in my opinion) i.imgur.com/hD3lv5x.jpgBy Youtuber "514 864" (currently a guest on this forum. check "I can't speak English Guest" post above.) Just to let you know, I manage to reproduce this bug/glitch. How to do it: When vepar almost sink the ship, I went left and slide a lot like in the video. Miriam sliding down and then the screen goes all black. I can't even access the menu. I had to close the game.

During the first few frames of falling after walking off a platform, when Miriam tucks her legs in, it's still possible to jump. I'm not sure if this is actually a bug or not, but even if it is you might want to leave it in as a technique for people to find on their own to get a bit of extra horizontal jump distance.
Also, bit of a hurr-durr obvious thing, but if anyone else out there is using xinput wrappers for their controllers be sure to use the 64bit versions. This caught me up for a bit since I'm still so used to only utilities coming in 64bit flavors I didn't even think to pay attention to the 32/64ishnes of Bloodstained.

It's the operating system that's 32 or 64 bit. If you're running 32 bit Windows you can install 64 bit windows on your computer, but you will be starting over from scratch.

Squirrel TaskmasterDid you actually get this to work completely? When I tried using the 64-bit version of x360ce, it seemed to work well at first, but then I exited the game and then it didn't work right. After that, some of the button mappings worked correctly and others didn't. I gave up and went back to using a regular 360 controller, but sometimes when using that I get unwanted inputs causing me to run to the left.

Another thing I forgot to mention that I'm not sure whether is a bug or intended: when you backstep off the edge of a platform, Miriam tends to stop dead then "trip" off the back of the platform with no momentum. Contrast this to e.g. Dawn of Sorrow or Order of Ecclesia where you preserve at least some momentum as you go off the edge, though you don't necessarily preserve full speed of the backstep.
This also seems to happen sometimes (but not always) backstepping down staircases.

Dropped a fresh copy from the git into the folder with RON-Win64-Shipping.exe(not Bloodstained.exe, that only seems to be a launcher for the other one but remains running and I have no idea what it's up to), ran it, let it auto-detect the controller from the internet database, and fired the demo up. Let me launch it again and see if anything changed... yep, still fine. Really weird that the mapping would go off like that. Don't know what to try other than confirming the mappings in x360ce again.

Another thing worth mentioning: you can get juggled pretty hard while being knocked back. I managed to get triple-juggled on the boss once:
(warning and apologies, there's a "holy s***" in there)
I get that the tentacle should at least stop my movement, and I'm not sure if there's a split second there where I can actually get away, but it seems rather unforgiving. I remember playing a game called Valdis Story which I dropped like a rock when I saw how horribly cheap the bosses could cheese you into infinite-juggle deaths (though that wasn't the only reason I dropped it), so I really hope that mistake isn't made here.

Not entirely a bug/glitch but definitely something that should be fixed. If you get a shard and change rooms before the shard reaches you, you permanently lose the shard (accidentally fell into a hole after i killed something and saw it flying toward me, checked inventory in the next room and no new spells added).

Hmm. I also placed it into the subfolder "RON\Binaries\Win64". I was using the latest public release from their website. Their website says it's 3.2.9.81 (2015-10-04), but the program itself says 3.2.8.77 (2015-10-04). The library version (xinput1_3.dll) is 3.4.1.1357. Did you use that, or did you actually do a checkout from their git repository? What kind of controller were you using? If you'd like to take this off-thread to avoid cluttering the thread, that's fine with me.

Doesn't sound like a bug. It makes sense that you do not gain something if you do not pick it up, or give it enough time to absorb it. Also since it isn't something you can miss, as in it only happens once in the game, I do not see an issue with it. Just means you've got to be more aware of what is going on on screen. The only time I can see this being an issue is if you were to open a chest or something and you manage to move out of the room before you acquire it. If the chest would be still open after you enter the room, it would mean you have missed that pickup.
