I thought it sounded picky to me, and well...that's about it. You're multiquoting me like I just did some defamation of character or something here. Maybe I'm misunderstanding what you're saying, but I think we were still having a discussion? I was a little more short than usual with my post because I've been in the hospital recently and I apologize for that. I usually talk out my points a lot more.
Armor is more important than that in Souls games. Not as much in Bloodborne, but it is in the other games. Your damage, element and especially status resistances can easily mean life or death, certainly if you're in one of the status effect themed areas. Poise is also a really big thing in Dark 1-3, it's the reason that equip burden is even a thing. They did away with that in Bloodborne since armor wasn't as strong, but still has its place with balance of resistances. Even still, if you've managed to play long enough to get all the armors, you've likely found your own unique way to circumvent taking damage from enemies (dodging, ranged attacks, moving past them in the level, other cleverness, etc), so then you can wear more of what you would like.
In Bloodstained, I'm under the impression that more things will be "good" than not, either by improved balance than in the older days or by upgrades via crafting. Seeing that, I don't think a "look one way, but have another way's" stats system would be all that necessary. If it's an easy thing to program and identify, and doesn't cause any hiccups or problems otherwise with game modes or multiplayer or whatnot, then sure I guess. I didn't think such wording would put you over the edge like that, my apologies.

If I understood it right, he simply was saying that it would be cool to have a system like in Terraria, where you can use a piece of equipment in the cosmetic tab, so you still can use the best armor without needing to undress from your favorite armor and such. I don't think it would fit the game if it was something that you could do since the beggining, but if you gain this ability via a shard that acts like a silver soul (passive, basically acts as a relic) or something like that it would be very cool and add a lot for shard collection. Remember, not all shards need to be combat-related after all and it could be easily added to the game this way.

Especially if you've been in the hospital recently making longer posts can be tough. And there's been no trouble on the Kickstarter or anything recently as far as I can tell, so we should be good

Hopefully I'm not throwing myself into a sticky, fiery situation but I feel compelled to offer my opinion: Armor (or equipment in general) isn't actually armor/equipment unless it affects stats. If the goal is to allow equipment to have cosmetic aspects to it, it still has to actually be equipment. In the demo we saw that Head items and Kicking Weapons (Kung-Fu shoes) changed Miriam's appearance whereas the Leather Breastplate did not. I feel confident that different scarves will also change Miriam's appearance but we have to assume that - we don't know that. Is that the extent that equipment will reflect on Miriam's attire (head-pieces, shoes and scarves)? I wouldn't be surprised if her main outfit remained static - especially given how important the curse was which I think was emphasized by the shard interaction and how Miriam would jam those into the mark over her chest. ghaleon : If you want in-depth customization divorced of equipment stats, I think what you have to be looking at is the "Customize" system which we know can alter things like Miriam's hair, facial features, skin tone, the colors of her default outfit and maybe other parts of her body (it would be interesting to see how far they are interested and willing to take it). We still don't know much about it but I assume we will get more details in the future. Mana - are you allowed to share insight on how much equipment can/will affect her appearance? Have we seen the entire range or is there more stuff waiting to be implemented? Is the influence of equipment just limited to headpieces and shoes (and maybe scarves) with more drastic changes either up to alternate costumes or the "Customize" system?

Just found a new video about the Bloodstained demo, this time this guy seems more experienced with the igavanias, he tried ways to speed up the attacks combinig the attack + backdash + attack for example or mid air + landing attack, pretty interesting.

So interesting thing to point out in that video: he found a leather breast plate at 2:15 or so and it *didn't* change the model like the headband did.
Edit: Of maybe it did? I'm not sure but it doesn't look like it. Though the model on screen is too hard to tell and the model in the menu doesn't change.
Edit part deux: Okay he confirms later on it doesn't change with the armor.

According to Jared, you use the analog stick to move? Not the d-pad? I know what 80 of my complaints will be when I play the demo. That's straight up bad design. I thought IGA was playing the caramel map with a stick because he was being a bit lazy.

I imagine the people playing the demo didn't get more than 15 minutes of gameplay at best. I wonder what the level cap is in the demo. I also wonder if the upgraded versions of the enemy shards are present. I imagine they work like Dawn of Sorrows souls. The more you collect the better they get.

I couldn’t remember if I had filled out the survey, so I searched my email for the survey link and to my surprise, my demo key was on the page! Sadly I do not have Steam and my laptop is in no shape to run the demo, so for now it will be collecting virtual dust...

Vepar - 2016 DesignI just put this here because we know today that Vepar have been changed in colors, making her less "happy joy joy" and more "gothic and scary". The change for us is yet to be seen. Images below are for comparison once the new design of Vepar is live.

Wait is that lighter one the new design? I like it even less than the original. What was wrong with the original was how bright the colors looked in context with the backgrounds. At least the textures itself look a lot better. I'll just have to swallow this pill and move on I was hoping for something more natural looking like this -
