Whats that item spinning at 26 seconds in? A coin? it looks like it's in the wood. and I'm lovin' the floatiness, it really does remind me of Alucard's movements. ciel It is inside the third platform. Its transparent so it's a little hard to see. I think that the coin is a glitch of sorts given the way it appears through the wood. However if this game is going to use coins like in other igavanias then I think we just got a sneak peak on their size. Edit: Third, third platform. not second

This stage reminds me of that Ghostship on the Castlevania chronicles game on the psp I love how the lamps look,its nice to see we will get our hands on with the game,this update was well worth the wait

The area in this update is the same as the grid map in development update 3, so we get to see a map of the area if you just look back an update.

So I will freely admit. When I watched the video, saw the stage and the gameplay and the art and heard Yamane's music...I squeed. I SQUEED. This makes me so happy and confident.

I think the music fits that calm before the literal storm that the stage is supposed to represent, so i wouldnt be surprised if the music really picks up when the ship comes under attack
Also, bet those purple lanterns are the new breakable candle since theres normal candle in the background, its been staring us in the face the whole time >P
And if thats the model for the coin, its a good size and im wondering if its there to test visibility when its above you and partially obscured by the platform
Im really excited to see all this come together with all the little movements and ribbons and details and just yeeeeee \^_^/

Whats the general concensus on her run animation? I think it looks a little stiff but I also remember Soma and Alucards run animations looking very weird to me at first as well, they kinda grow on you.

E3 DEMO: Coming this month. Everybody backing at $60+ will get the demo, which will be coming out over Steam. So if you backed for a PS4 copy, a Wii U copy, a PC copy on either Steam or GOG—anything—you will get the demo, but it's only being distributing over Steam and it will only run on Windows.
BETA: Coming later—no date set in stone yet. Will be distributed in the same way we initially explained in the backer updates during the campaign: Anybody whose $60+ pledge includes a PC copy (on Steam or GOG) will be getting access to the beta. (I believe the key for the beta is set to update to the final copy later on.)
SURVEY: If you backed during the campaign, you should have received an e-mail from Fangamer some time in September. That's the survey. The link you received is personalized to you—it's basically your Bloodstained account. So by clicking the link (copy and paste it into your browser window if the link is broken), you can edit or update your survey.
If you can't find your survey e-mail, and you're sure you're looking in the e-mail account you had associated with your Kickstarter account during the Bloodstained campaign, e-mail us at orders@fangamer.com with all the information you can give us. (But definitely look first—we've already received hundreds of requests from people, so it might take a few days for us to help you.)
DEMO+SURVEY: We're sending the demo to everybody who pledged at $60+ and filled out their survey by June 13. So you have until then to back—if you haven't already—or fill out your survey, if you haven't done that. If you have filled out your survey, you're golden! Enjoy the demo.

Thoughts:
1. I love the animations and the overall feel which honestly mimics the 2d games quite well.
2. Yamane delivers. I feel like it's a track that would fit well in dawn of sorrow!
3. The visuals again are looking nice and much better than the original unveiling all the months back. The only thing I could say is I hope the visuals become a bit more stylized. ( pop more, vivid, eye catching, contrasting colors) like the water looks very grey and bland in the underbelly ship part for instance. Just sprucing up, but that's honestly nitpicking. Still curious why the backgrounds don't have that water color effect on them. The chest seems to have it and the chest looks great because of it.

I'm absolutely stoked about this update. The whole level and stage of development is outstanding.
I noticed there's no screen transitions displayed in the video, guess that's not done yet? Not that I'm complaining, it's honestly further along than I anticipated. I'm glad to have paid enough to get that demo. I'm not expecting much, but I'll be glad just to have something in my grasp.

I had a feeling they were going to slip but they proved me wrong Anyway, so the way this is described it seems Miriam boards the Galleon Minerva to make her way towards the castle but it turns out to be a beat up, run-down ghost ship? Interesting. I wonder if there is going to be like a Kraken (or some other big sea monster) boss at the end of the stage and if the ship will be something you can revisit after you complete it (like the stages in Order of Ecclesia). I guess this does answer the question if we can expect to see some levels outside the castle The area in this update is the same as the grid map in development update 3, so we get to see a map of the area if you just look back an update. Yeah parts of this looked pretty familiar and now I know why <3

Riding a boat stage to the castle. Start on the boat crash near the entrance of the castle or a town next to the castle to begin the main game. It's kinda cool

As great as it looks, I do have some small quibbles: 1: It'd be nice if the 'net' platforms sagged or swayed, to give them the impression of being nets. As I mentioned before, it's the little details like that which make for a great IGA game. 2: Miriam kinda clips through the platforms when she jumps through them. It's early, tho, so I hope that gets changed 3: I'm not so fond of the green treasure chests, though that may just be me ;o
