Nintendo and Universal are hoping to finish the first Nintendo attraction within 2020, in time for the Olympics in Tokyo.
Universal is prepared to spend $350 Million on the zone, more than $85 Million for the Harry Potter attraction in Florida.
The park itself will be heavily Mario themed, but probably won't be Mario exclusive.

The deal was made public knowledge a while back ago, or maybe it was just a rumor at the time. No word yet on development of a Nintendo park being built in Florida, but the odds are likely.

I remember being a kid and thinking it'd be cool to have a Nintendo theme park and it's cool to see it happen, but at the same time I don't feel like I'm as excited as I should be since I haven't kept up with Nintendo's games as much as I used to. It feels like a cursed monkey paw's wish in a way. Still, if there isn't one getting built in the USA I think it'd be neat to visit just for the whole experience of going to Japan.

Someone with Nintendo or Universal needs to get Ashly Burch involved with building the park ASAP. It's not too late to incorporate her ideas.

A Mario Kart 3D roller coaster that takes you through peaches castle. Coin blocks. Lots and lots of coin blocks.
