It's not the Bloodstained Backer Forums, it's the Bloodstained Fan Forums, and I see no reason to exclude people from the conversation just because they came in late. The polls on this site are for the community. When IGA wanted backer input on the shaders, we were all sent e-mails. That's where the separation lies. I'm fine with that separation then because my only concern comes from non backer people that say things or vote but without the intention of buying the game. Anyway perhaps I'm simply overthinking stuff and so far things are running good so far even thought I'm not that fond of the 3Dish stage.

I can understand lod7 's and Redogan 's claims behind minority opinions. Often times these opinions get shut down by other community members and receive backlash. When I send the messages to IGA and the rest of the team, I would start off with the popular opinion and then branch off with the minority opinions. For instance, during the shader poll (Shader 1 and 3) I told the team "Majority of the community prefer C3/B3" following "There were few that prefer shader 1 due to _____(specific reasons)." All minority opinions with sensible reasons will be shared. Just to give an example, character shader 1 was the least popular choice for this round. However, the few people who preferred shader 1 had specific reasons as to why they liked that shader. We thought shader 3 will win by a landslide and yes, it did, but this made us think "Hey, there are people who like shader 1 for so-and-so reason. That's really interesting." It may not always be included in the final game but it doesn't mean we're disregarding it. So please share if you have a strong enough opinion that you feel needs to be heard. If you feel uncomfortable posting it, send me a PM and it will reach me directly.

Why the community consensus might be steering the team away from a "good" idea or might be influencing the team in a "bad" way. This game is not community-driven, it's IGA-driven. IGA made it explicitly clear in "Ask IGA #7" that he's taking community suggestions into account but the end product will mesh with his vision of the game.

This is the most comforting thing to direct people towards who have reservations about influence coming from the community. I truly hope that this mentality of IGA's is unwaivering and consistent throughout the entire project.

Don't forget right above that what Mana said: all opinions are being looked at, not just those in the majority. State your case and it is being listened to. You don't even need a separate thread for it! Truly we have some great people making this thing.

It's true that a very large percent of the backers aren't really active in following the progress or contributing thoughts for Bloodstained, I myself haven't really made many back and forth conversations more like leaving various of my brief thoughts on a topic that gets my attention; but I do keep up with the updates and try and voice my opinions in certain polls and topics. But, that's just how it is sometimes. Perhaps a lot of people don't have the time to focus on Bloodstained or maybe the time they have they give to something more important to them. It's true that it kind of sucks especially when it comes to voting for stuff (the shaders being a great example) as I think if everyone that backed the game gave a vote thing could have gone differently as am one of those who really preferred Shader 1 especially for the character but the people who voted voted and is something you have to deal with democracy.
