Kickstarter says our goodies is estimated to be delivered on March 2017. I have no issues with 2017, and I was aware of this the whole time, if anything I'm concerned it may be delayed to late 2017 or even 2018 because they have a lot of stretch goals to impliment that was not expected.

However...why march? I mean typically videogames that predict a release date this far in advance will just say 2017, or maybe Q12017.. but the exact month?! Does kickstarter force their applicants to pick a month or something? Why are they confident enough in their release window to specify the exact month and not just the year/season? Is everyone rolling their eyes at me thinking 'who cares?'?

I think it's just a placeholder date. It may have been better to state "tba 2017" to be more explicit. But if a month value is required when filling out the KS form, "December 2017" would have made more sense. March may be the last month of fiscal year cycles, my guess.
