The fact there are alternate costumes makes me really happy, its something I REALLY wanted. I wonder if Johannas is playable, if he will have an alt costume being more fighter like? Maybe something with colors in it *is not a fan of just ... brown ...*

Ok, I like to wonders about things and costumes is one hell of an announcement for me xD It's like the 4th 5th 6th character that has the same attacks as some other character (Like how for sm4sh ganondorf is just a reskinned cpt falcon with minor tweaks, or how there's like 8 bowser jr)
So Pure Miriam is the first announced (most probably a thing since I don't see the point of wasting creative energy) and then what next?
Can IGA drop his costume for the male protagonist?? (there's no way the 3 playable characters are girls, I would even bet only only Miriam will be in facts)
Will we get a crystal-cursed Johannes? Who knows, it was kind of implied that he was the second character
WILL WE GET VAMPIRES COSTUMES OMG

It's interesting to note that her hair twirls are gone in the Pure outfit.
I've been speculating this for a while, but I think her hair symbolizes snakes in a way. At least, snakes twirling around each other is a theme used in a couple of symbols.
It's most notably similar to the symbol Caduceus, the staff of Hermes. In modern times, the Caduceus is seen as a symbol of medicine, or even DNA.
It also has an attachment to Alchemy, which is probably where it's more important.
In Alchemy, it's a symbol that refers to duality or balance. This would likely refer to a duality within Miriam, regarding her crystallized human body, I would guess that her having a balance between the two is also what will lead her to ultimate victory.
Another portion of the Caduceus is a pair of wings that sits at the very top of the staff. This is also displayed in the artwork, with a pair of wings being displayed behind Miriam (though seemingly not attached to her back, or anywhere on her body).
The wings on the Caduceus could mean a many number of things. I don't really know what it could mean in this context, for sure. However, it is the staff of Hermes, who would guide souls into the afterlife. Maybe this means Miriam will act as a spiritual guide in some manner.

Most likely different animations but that's it, I'm mean she can't transform in the crystal form so there will be a pure equivalent, but I imagine we can only change costume at the choose your character screen, before starting any mode of the actual game. I doubt it will be in game and if it is, I'm most certain it won't affect the gameplay. Maybe for clearing story mode once they will be like "Congratulation, you've overcome Gebel and Miriam's curse, you can now play as pure Miriam" I mean it's not a 4th character neither
