As the title says, I'm aware that there will be some sort of online mode in Bloodstained. However, I do not know if both pc versions will be compatible, and this affects which version of the game I will chose to get.
Does anyone have any idea of how the pc versions of the game will work?

From the FAQs  ..as for whether GOG and Steam versions can play with each other, I'm not sure. I remember seeing some talks of crossplay, but I don't know the specifics. |

I don't remember hearing any kind of discussion about gog/steam crossplay. However it would be really really weird if they could not crossplay between each other since Microsoft is making sure that the Xbone will be able to crossplay with the PC... You can play with Xbone owners but not the other PC owners? wuh? =P

I remember someone saying something about being able to add non-steam games to Steam's interfact and you could do multiplayer through Steam that away so long as you were both playing the same game. That was discussed in the comments section of the KS a LONG time ago. I would imagine its kind of like how you can with Terraria how you can play "through Steam" or "independent" through direction connections...
