We must consider that recently indie games are better than AAA. For example today I found this new awsome campaign on ks:

(EDIT: It's already there, I see.) In light of recent undying conversations here on the boards, all I can say about Demonica is BOOBS.

Yeah. I know Konami's recent decisions have been disappointing and it feels like they've found a way to alienate everyone, but there is money in mobile and I can't really argue with the results from a business perspective.

hahahaha Metal Gear Survive.
Metal Gear is now going through that phase Resident Evil did with bad co-op multiplayer games. Except in this case, it's probably less of a phase, more like a "oh, guess that didn't do well/people don't like Metal Gear anymore, ayyy more slot machines"
Speaking of which, check out this cool screenshot I have:

I believe I made a thread about it already, but there IS still a way to counter this and bring back console titles for the franchises we love. any inde dev that shows success in the genre can create a prototype and pitch it to konami,
under this agreement:
konami provides none of the funding, and only handles basic legal and publishing fees, however the outsourced dev gets a percentage of the final sales. the dev may also be able to fund his own campaign, but he may not sell copies this way.

It's lucrative for now, but I think it's a "bubble" type economy... once the market if flooded with so many games I believe the bubble will pop and they will most likely be sorry they thoroughly burned their bridges to their console roots. But that is just my bitterness talking... I might be completely wrong lol...

see, there is a prolem with that jeff. what demographic plays mobile games? idiots. the young, the stupid, and the elderly. the first group of which is constantly refilled with new people.
the mobile market IS full, but that clearly isn't a problem, because the top or most convenient games will prevail anyway. as long as they produce a product someone will play, they are good to go, because mobile games are much more inexpensive to produce.

Konami will survive, and they'll hang on to their IPs, they have no reason to sell anything. Also as Survive has shown while they may not be doing Triple A games they can still do games with notable budgets on consoles (which is what the president has confirmed). The problem is the cost of producing a game of that level of MGSV is rarely a sure thing anymore, this is why IGA had to go Kickstarter because Igavania games weren't selling.
