Song: The opening credits of Chicken Run. Anime: Various (but mostly Azumanga Daioh, Bleach, One Piece, Fullmetal Alchemist, and Evangelion).
"The Wizard of Osaka" is 10 years old and was originally a contest entry at Anime Expo 2005 (according to the youtube comments). It was one of the first AMVs I ever saw, and it is still one of the best out there.
Plus, it's not really a good old-fashioned AMV thread without some Azumanga Daioh.

There's a video that was made about 10 years ago that I really like, but the site it's on requires registration to access, and then videos are downloaded, not streamed. It's a Serial Experiments Lain video set to Debris by The Gathering. Here's a link to the page. |

So back in the mid 2000's there was this guy who went by Wolfe Pyre and called his page Cyber Moon Studios who created a whole string of AWESOME AMVs...
My two ALL TIME FAVORITES are first, Trigun set to In The Arms of an Angel! (almost brings me to tears to watch it)
And secondly one of the more bad ass Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust AMVs set to Moonlight Shadow. In fact this was how I found out that Bloodlust even existed. Prior to that all I knew was the original from the 80's.
Then there was Trigun set to Born Bad from The Gone Jackals
He did two videos for Gungrave using mainly the video game art for the video. I wasn't overly fond of the other one, but this one set to Nickleback's Breath was pretty good.
Following that he also did TWO Weird Al Yankovic videos!!!
The first was Tenchi Muyo set to Pretty Fly for a Rabbi
And even more funny and song appropriate was FLCL set to The Alternative Polka!!!!
And even better than that? HE EVEN DID A PHOENIX WRIGHT AMV!!!!!! ..... of sorts......
It's actually an old sketch from a TV comedy show call Fire Sign Theater. The bit was called Boot To The Head. There are actually two different version of this bit. One was this one that was supposed to be a laywer reading a will, the other was a spoof on Kung Fu/Karate Kid
