Yes I am back! And I brought Simon's Quest with me!
One thing to confess though, this story is much bigger and longer my than last one. And I add many original characters to keep the story smooth. I hope this will not make the story become ridiculous...(OK, it is ridiculous enough with my horrible grammar already...)
Also, if there is anyone feels uncomfortable with my story, please do tell me. I will remove the story immidiately.
Here goes.
Act 1: Wound that never heal
(Simon was sitting outside of a Winery, making wine barrels with wooden pieces.)
(A pregnant woman approached with a young boy. Simon stood up and welcomed them with opened arms.)
Joseph: Daddy!
Simon: Come here my boy!
(Simon hugged Joseph and kissed him on his face. Joseph answered with the same act.)
(Simon then let go Joseph and hugged Linda, and kissed her on her lips.)
Simon: How was Sunday school?
Linda: That was great! Sister Teresa was a really nice person. Joseph enjoyed it.
Simon: Good to hear that. Hey Joseph, are you hungry? Let’s get something to eat.
Joseph: Daddy can I have hams tonight?
Simon: Anything you want, my prince.
(The family laughed out loud. Simon held Linda on her should and turned back to the Winery.)
(Joseph jumped up at Simon’s back in a playful manner.)
Joseph: Gothca Daddy!
Simon: Aaaaahhhhh! (Scream in pain.)
(Joseph jumped down in a panic. Simon fell to the ground with heavy sweat. His back soaked with blood.)
Linda: Simon, are you alright?
Simon: I am…I am fine…
Linda: No you are not! (Turned to Joseph.) Go get the doctor!
Simon: It is useless. Go find the Priest.
Linda: Go get both. Now! Hurry!
(Joseph nodded his head and ran away.)
(Linda helped Simon to sit outside their house and helped him to take of his shirt.)
(The thick bandages that tight on his back had turned red by blood.)
Linda: (Socked into speechless.)
Simon: I told you, doctor will not help.
Linda: But…
Simon: Stop staring at it. Go get me some water.
(Linda walked into the house and took out a bag of water. Simon took the water and drank a lot.)
(Joseph rushed back with Doctor Andrew and Priest John.)
(Doctor Andrew checked on Simon while Priest John was greeting Linda.)
Andrew: Lord Simon, may I take off your bandages?
Simon: …Go on.
(Doctor Andrew took off the bloody bandages, and showed a fresh wound that seemed occurred only an hour ago.)
(Linda held Joseph so he won’t see his father in blood.)
Andrew: (Seemed frightened.) I will have to treat the wound. Lady Linda, I need your help.
Linda: Sure. Joseph, go check the wine we have for the church. Make sure they match the number on the record.
Joseph: But, Mommy…
Linda: Go, my dear. Everything will be fine.
(Joseph seemed worry, but he obeyed his mother and went into the house.)
(Linda washed the wound with clean water. Doctor Andrew put crushed herbs on the wound and bandaged it.)
Andrew: I will leave some herbs for you. Lady Linda, do you have any bags or containers?
Linda: Yes, we do have some, I will bring those out.
Simon: Linda, take Doctor Andrew to the storage. We should have some empty jars there.
Linda: But…
Simon. Just go.
(Linda hesitated, but she still left with Doctor Andrew.)
(After Linda left, Simon relaxed, but seemed depressed.)
John: Lord Simon, it was not healing at all.
Simon: Yeah, I know. It has been five years, but the blood still dripping.
John: Lord Simon.
Simon: I may not last long.
John: Lord Simon! Please don’t say this.
Simon: It’s the truth, right? This wound is slowly killing me.
John: Yes we know! But it is all because the curse that casted on it! If we can lift the curse…
Simon: And what can we do to lift it? You tried to soak it with holy water, lay a heavy cross on it, or even sing hymn on it, but nothing works.
John: I am so sorry, but we will find a way! The Church is doing research on it, and our Bishop says…
Simon: Don’t bother. I know where my limit is, and I know my end is near.
John: Lord Simon. No. Please, don’t…
Simon: Just promise me one thing. OK?
John: …Anything you ask. In the name of our Father, I will see it done.
Simon: Take care of my family for me, will you? Make sure they live…in peace.
John: As you wish, my lord.
(Linda walked out with Doctor Andrew. The couple set them off, then stood quiet together.)
Linda: Simon…
(Simon hugged Linda in silent.)
Linda: No…Please, not this…
Simon: I will do what I can…Just…Please, take good care of yourself.
Linda: (Started crying) No…Simon…
Simon: Don’t worry. Priest John promised me that they will take care of you. You and our children should be alright.
Linda: How can I live without you?
Simon: I still have some time left. I will see what I can do until then.
(Linda answered with tears.)
Simon: (Hugged her again.) Now, wipe your tears. We need to prepare for dinner, or our little Joseph will get worry.
(Linda nodded and wiped her tears, but still wasn’t able to answer.)
(Simon held her and the couple walked into their house.)
Not done yet.
