Alcoholic drinks is what I am taking about. Can be hard liquor or not, mixed or not, and you don't have to go naming brands if you don't want to. ^_^
Mine are:
Rum Sierra Nevada Torpedos Beer Wine
I used to like whiskey, but nowadays it gives me terrible heartburn. = (

I don't drink alcohol, but still want to contribute. I like Diet Root Beer, but my favorite is Diet Dr. Pepper. Also people around here call soft drinks "drinks", which is absolutely as confusing as it sounds.

Well, rootbeer, ginger ale, and orange soda are my favorite soft drinks.
For those that do, rum with a can of Diet Pepsi on the side is also great. Not mixed unless I have bad tasting rum, but having a pepsi for chaser sometimes kinda tastes nice.

I find myself ordering a Midori Sour often when I am out with friends but at the house I stick with Red Wine, Vodka, or White Rum. As far as Sodas go I only really drink Barqs Root Beer.

Its been such a long time since I've had White Rum it's almost funny, and can't for the life of me remember what it tastes like lol...
I'll just name my favorite brand of Rum, seeing how it's pretty much my go to drink: The Kraken Black Spiced Rum.
Yeah, not high brow or anything like that, I just enjoy the taste. ^_^

Casual drinking I normally just go with Jack and Coke, or maybe an Redd's Apple Ale. Although if I'm feeling it, I'll mix up some Fireball and Dr. Pepper.
As for other beverages I drink a lot of tea. And my favorite soda's would probably be Sprite and Mountain Dew: Voltage.

Favorites: Woodford Reserve and Coke Captain and Coke Wild Turkey straight Alice In Wonderland - 1 part Southern Comfort - 1 part Amaretto - 1 part Grand Marnier Serve warm or cold, neat or stired, not shaken and no ice. Works best as complement to Coke or Pepsi. Not meant to be a mixed drink. I've tried... for some reason if you put the liquor in the coke/pepsi it doesn't taste the same or anywhere near as good as if you drink them separately and mix in your mouth... Caution: Fairly sweet (like Alice) but will F#*%K you up if you're not paying attention (like wonderland )

So... i'm a beer snob, living in Wisconsin. I go to Greate Taste of the Midwest annually. we have some great micro brews around here. My go-to beers are typically maltier beers like stouts, scotch ales, and brown ales. - New Holland Dragon's Milk (bourbon barrel aged stout)
- Left Hand Nitro Milk Stout
- Rogue Ale Hazelnut Brown Nectar
- Upstream Brewing's Dundee Scotch Ale
- Great Dane Pub Stone of Scone Scotch Ale
- Great Dane Pub Blackwatch Scotch Ale (cask conditioned)
- Ale Asylum Pantheon
If i'm desperate, i'll get an IPA... Typically only Dogfish Head 90 minute Liquor-wise, i prefer spiced rums. I used to drink these mixed w/ Coke or Dr Pepper, but as i'm trying to limit my carb intake, i mostly drink them straight now: - Captain Morgan, typically the 100 proof.
- Captain Morgan Private Stock
- Kraken.... sometimes, i don't find this as good straight as Captain (especially 100)
- Crusoe... delicious!! This isn't your ordinary spiced rum. not a lot of heavy vanilla like most spiced rums. this one has more a clove taste than anything. great on the rocks. Distribution is limited though. it's made in California IIRC
Recently i've been dabbling in Vodka... namely Reyka vodka. It's not abrasive and has a subtle vanilla tone to it. check it out if you get a chance, makes a pretty good martini

shot-wise: Muscle Relaxer
Equal parts:
Amaretto Baileys Canadian Whiskey
Shaken over ice, served straight. unless you're making a huge pour, then i'd recommend on the rocks

Hailing from France, I used to drink wine, but now I mainly stick to water/juices/milk. I never could stomach the taste of beer.

thrashinuvaThere was a period of time when i gave up drinking. it was about a year and a half long. I still hung out with my friends when they were drinking, i just brought some tea bags with me and brewed my own tea. I never caught flak for it. so, as long as your friends are understanding (which, they should be), there's no real reason you couldn't still attend these social drinking sessions and not drink yourself. unless the reason you don't hang out with them is because people are irritating after they've had a few, and then i'd completely understand :-)

Yeah, it's not that I couldn't hang out with them, I just find it less enjoyable when they get plastered and I'm sitting there sober like, "how do you find any of this funny?"

I love wine and bourbon. Unfortunately I have an addictive personality so I took it too far. I'm on the wagon now, due to that and my medication forbids it.
