The sequel hasn't been officially announced, but there was a leak a while back that unofficially confirmed it's being planned. That was when they were just outlining it and brainstorming it, I dont know how much progress has been made since then, their primary concern is getting everything finished for RotN. But I think we will see a sequel someday, more likely than not  |

hello!
They're very tight lipped about the sequel situation, but imo it's safe to say that it's quite far along by now. Only a small team of mostly WayForward dev needed to stick around for the stretch goal/extra content, which should be completed and released soon - I'd guess by roughly the end of this year/start of next year. After that happens and we get PC copies shipped to Kickstarter backers, RotN1 will be wrapped up and we can then expect to see the next game.

Been quite a while for me to step here again too. It'be good if indeed a nother IGA game is coming. Since that time I've played other more inde 2D vania style games but never ended up finishing them as they didn't fully do it for me. Even Bloodstained, despite me beating it and replaying it some more for trophies it just didn't have the same replay value for me as Order of Ecclesia or SOTN. I hope the next one gives me more of that addictive feel. Last game I played to give me that was Bloodborne.

I too am a bit delighted that this forum is still here. I suppose that things will get more lively here once/if the next big mainline Bloodstained game is officially announced.

As long as Bloodstained fans needs this forum, I believe it will be around.
About B2.
Early concepts are done, alpha testing have been done at least once among very few. Sadly I wasn't part of it. I would've made so many notes of it if I had. Dedication.
I am a bit worried that they haven't spoken of it as much though, perhaps its due to 505 Games that might have told them to make sure B1 is in focus, and B2 announcement would make B1 updates less hyped. Simple as that. But it really would've been nice to know MORE about B2.
And yeah, welcome back people, if you haven't been around that much. I know I haven't.

The existence of this forum is pointless given that the devs didnt add any of the fixes or suggestions that were done in the other section of the forum. 505 Games did take major notes from the forums for the game. Most suggestions were on the table, but sometimes ideas doesnt fit. Thats why Kickstarter was a thing with the tiers. Those tiers, some, really made the game feel strange because of the rule of "let fans pick and choose". Bloodstained 2 (B2) will have no kickstarter impact, and stand on its own legs thank god. This is also where the efforts are made, this while having a minor team fixing B1 with patches and stuff. What kind of fixes are you refering to? my GOG, Steam and PS4 versions are working excellent. Latest patch is a bit wonk with fighting each other, but its a bonus feature. The real game is the Main game. The forum also helped a whole lot of people before Discord became huge. This with aiding and guiding, Q&A without asking for it, theorycrafting, lore-knowledge, brainstorming ideas and to meet friends.
The existence of this forum is great. And I am so happy that its still around. If it were only on Discord, I will loose so much of the Bloodstained IRL story, and miss it greatly.

I'm happy this forum still exists, tbh. I've been here from the beginning, and I think when and *if* a Bloodstained 2 happens, it'll be easier probs to just update *this* site with a new aesthetic rather than build a new one from the ground up. Which I knew how to code or do art/backdrops/backgrounds. I just know how to make music on my humble little DAW. c: Also I see now that Wall Mac is still a thing. I suppose that's a permanent addition, huh XombieMike ? |
